Ok so he was a disappointment who wrecked boxing on the BBC and made millions of pounds out of a poor career, I have always laughed at him when he is interviewed but after the weekend i felt sorry for him.
He got utterly humiliated and the crowed were singing your **** and you know you are, he looked destroyed in the interview after the fight and most of the british casual fans hate him especially the ones that paid for the fight. I couldn’t imagine what its like to have half the people in your own country hating you. I just had to feel a bit sorry for him even though he made loads of money out of the fight.
haye did all he could to make it exiting, his mistake was soley in the choice of oponent (which cant be excused). he was fightign a lefty with a massive reach, that means getting close enough to land is a risk so he needs to take the early rounds to study his oponent before going to work. he threw some feints and jabks at him to see how he reacted in the first, walked him down and let go of some right hands in the second then put it all together and finished hi in the third. had he not been fighting a bum it wouldve been a great performance.
as for harrison i do feel bad for him, this sport is harder then fans can even imagine. a guy like audley is still ten times tougher then the average man, yet the average man looks down on him. dumbasses who never set foot in a boxing ring run their mouth how they couldve done what he did when in reality they couldnt, even what little he did.
so audley still deserves some respect i dont care what anyone says, he was outclassed and seemd intimidated from the first bell but most ppl wouldnt even get in the ring to hear the first bell. then he gets knocked out and booed out of the building, not fair. i believe he did try to win he just doesnt know how to fight as a pro, especially at this level.
he should be remembered as a guy who tried and failed miserably in the pro ranks, but still get props for trying. instead ppl will dissrespect him and act like they are tougher than him without having the balls to find out. atleast audley was willing to find out.
By not throwing any punches?
Yes i agree.... he put on a lousy performance.... but even mike tyson said , hes actually a real nice guy. that performance was terrible and afer mouthing off he showed zero agression and guts but still he doesnt deserve the hate he gets
his wife and daughter flew from us to watch that fight and they had to endure those chants as did his brother and his dad. i know if that was my son or brother brother it would be very painfull
not nice to hear that at all and if i was him i wouldnt be able to show my face around in londdon because most of what he has done olymics ect is overshadowed by that perfrmance.... your only as good as your last fight
and after he got his i felt very bad 4 him
Yeah if I was him I wouldn’t go into London he would get **** from anyone who knew his face, he may have put up a poor performance but anyone that knows Audley knew that was going to happen, Audley is basically expelled from the country now.
If you can't handle the pressure, don't fight
If you're gonna be a *****, don't fight
If you're scared to fight, don't fight
If you can't handle the criticism, don't fight
Nobody made him get into the ring, nobody told him act like a *****, and nobody made him sign the fight and get his paycheck.
Absolutely zero pity. The only one I felt sorry for this weekend was Margarito. He gave it everything he had, from day 1 to fight night, and it still wasn't enough. That's tragic, when somebody wants something so bad and they do everything for it and they still can't get it.
Audley did give it everything he threw a jab, I am not talking about his performance i am talking about how is utterly hated in the UK, what ever Audley does everyone hates him.

The only people i feel for are the fans who shelled out for tickets and bought the PPV, the whole event was ****.
And the division isn't going to get better anytime soon, Wlad v Chisora? Cant wait (insert sarcasm).
i don't feel sorry for someone who just shows up to collect a pay check
He didnt anyone that has followed Audley knows the guy is insane he was sure he was going to win.

Audley threw a fight, why would anyone feel sorry for Haye or Audley?
Audley didnt throw the fight it was a typical display but he was just more scared than normal. Just watch the interview after the fight he was mentaly wrecked.
His next fight should be in a court for impersonating a heavyweight contender and collecting £1.5m by fraudulent means. Haye should also be in the dock with Murdoch Inc for promoting a snake oil fight.
Anyone who wins an Olympic medal and comes back from a career ending injury should not be called a coward as Audley is.
He just can't compete at the elite level, thats all.

I do, i always do. Im not a fan but even before this Haye fight i stopped enjoying him lose. Just hang em up man!
I dont get what people expected Audley to do? Walk Haye down throwin 100 punches a round. Audley has always thrown 1 (counter) punch at a time.
Haye didnt throw shiit for 2 rounds either. His performance was just as disgraceful imo

u think they'll let him back in?
When he fills out the forms on the visa and he says "boxer" as his pr
ofession they'll deny him entry for lying on the application!
Seriously yes!!! His visa or passport as a "boxer or prizefighter" need to be revoke and changed to a normal 32 page Passport instead of the 48 pages for him.
I felt sorry for him too, simply put Audley is no where near the same class as Haye, he only just won a european belt by getting his ass kicked for 11 rounds then landing that KO punch. I get the feeling that Audley was trying to replicate that performance (against Sprott) by just absorbing all of Hayes punches to hopefully land a bomb in the later rounds. Which sadly equated to him holding back waiting for an opening..obviously realising how difficult that plan was going to be and basically looking like a fighter who was fighting well out his league.
I agree and disagree with all the criticism, on one hand you have all the casuals who expect every fight to be some epic battle where fighters fight till the brink of death and seem to be suprised when its really one sided. Then on the other hand, as a serious boxing fan you can understand all the factors than make a boxer give the performance that Audley gave.
To be fair, even before the fight i think most people got sucked into the hype, did you really think Audley was going to match Haye in any department? This is one of those fights where you knew the outcome, if Audley did decide to bang with Haye he would of either got his ass kicked early or basically would of missed and would of probably would of connected with the same amount of punches he did in the fight anyway.
I hate the way he talked, cried about how this was his redemption at the British public who crucified him in the past, I hate the fact that he even got the chance, But to get in there at do nothing when this was his chance to finally shut people up just irritates me, Blame Haye all we want but this does hide the fact that Harrison was a bloody disgrace who shouldn't be a pro boxer no more.
I can't believe they put these two on SBO, yet they won't show Carl Froch who is always in good fights and fights the best.
I don't know why everyone is blaming Audley. The people who paid 15 quid to watch Audley should blame themselves.
I paid £15 to see the end of Audleys career. (I buy all PPV, can't get enough)I expected nothing less than I got. Before the build up I hated Audley simply because he is delusional. In the build-up though due to Haye making those "gang rape" comments I actually gained a little respect for Audley as he came across well in comparison to the idiot Haye. I don't feel sorry for him however. If you look at his pro career and then consider his payday of £1.5m there is no need to feel sorry for him for sure.
You'd only have to have seen 1 Harrison fight, any Harrison fight to know this was a mis-match. So for those complaining you have no legs to stand on.
I don’t feel sorry for his performance more for the hatred and humiliation that he has received in front of the British people. Harrison will have to stay in America for a while before coming back to Britain.
