Trust me pac will never be the same after that fight. the body shots that he took, the uppercuts. And that was from a 165 man. Watch his post fight press conference and his other post fight interviews he looks and sounds like a guy who wen't thru hell. Not like every other post fight interviews where he looks energetic still.

This wasnt nearly the same amount of damage he took from clottey or cotto. Margarito rarely got any flush shots other than his jab. Its just fighting the welterweights in general thats beating him down slowly.
I also didnt see Manny looking as in shape or conditioned as he normally was in his past 4 fights
TBH, if I had to guess about it, I think that it was a harder fight for him then he had expected. Not to say he didn't think it would be hard, but the 17 pound weight difference and the power behind the weight - he looked more emotionally damaged than physically damaged. He used to appear invigourated by a hard fought war, and he didn't have that attitude after this fight. I just don't think his heart is in it anymore. And if that's the case he should retire immediately - that's when fighters get hurt really bad (fighting when their hearts not in it).
I say there's only one fight left for Manny with any thing left to prove. A fight with FMJ or just retire. I do believe he would find the heart for that one lol.
I agree. He shouldn't continue if he doesn't feel he has anything to prove anymore. He does not need FMJ, he is the greater, far more accomplished fighter, person etc. He's done great things in boxing, reinvigorated an ailing sport, got elected to Congress in the Philippines and I hope he does great things from there...
I'm not a Pac fan, since I tend to side with underdogs and he's been blasting through fighters for a while, but I still worry he might get hurt if his mind is not in it, or trying to give fans more and more when there is no more that should be given.
Pac, retire in Glory if your heart is not in it anymore.
oh Pac got hurt he said it himsefe it was a tough fight. he didnt look to great
Pac got a broken rib, bruised knuckles, and the right side of his face is swollen.. But he was given a clean bill of health. However this is the worst shape I saw Pac after the fight.. The other being a fight against Cotto and the first fight against Morales ..
I think he was. Perhaps we wishes to be challenged and felt like the fight was a mockery? I'm not saying it was, just trying to figure out what was going on there...

I know! Damnnit, I guess this means he's gonna have to resort to lip-synching in his concert, coz I don't know if he'll be able to sing live :(
Its true! margarito is simply done! but i found new respect for him! hes a true warrior with a lot of balls!
And also it will take something out of pac no doubt! he looks like a beaten man
I thought he seemed really out of it too at the post fight interview with Max. He seemed incredibly out of it, and didn't act like a man who just won an 8th title in 8 divisions. He almost looked sad...

I made a post about this yesterday. He wasn't his normal self during the post fight interview... mentioning his tough fight with Cotto... two fights back and not Margarito was weird... I thought he wasn't thinking properly, he's just on his feet and fighting on because he's got great instincts and sheer brutality in him, but he didn't seem 100% up there at all...

i reckon pac is only going to have one more fight i don't think he was hurt too bad in this one but i reckon he only wants one more and that floyd ... if that doesn't happen he'll prob beat up on one more guy then retire and after that floyd will suddenly start thinking about boxing again and make another 'comeback'

Nah Pac has to slow down at some point he been a pro since he was 16 but he didnt take a bad beating there, a few good shots but for the most part it was one way traffic
Manny Pacquiao is a great fighter. It astounds me that even though he has achieved a lot people are still slagging him off.Freddy Roach said he(manny) will retire after the fight.
I dont think FM wants manny anyway.he has too much too lose...having such a great record !
