can a 148-144 lbs pac stop a 165-160 lbs margarito???

I think he could've stopped him from the 10th round on. don't think so. marg was still coming forward regardless. pac had him hurt only once and he was landing the same shots that put down ricky hatton and cotto. Margarito would only throw jabs from that round on. doesn't matter, he was still throwing so the fight wasn't gonna get stopped. Did you see his face? yeah, the ref or the doc or marg's corner should've stopped the fight. marg was taking big shots, but I knew pac wasn't gonna get a spectacular stoppage. I dont think so, but anything can happen. I have seen stranger incidents in the ring. But, I do think Margarito is a sincere challenge for Pac, and he will definitely feel the fight after the fact, unlike any other. I think Pac will get hurt, but I also feel he will win. He has too many advantages but it will be very close. I wouldnt be surprised if either guy won.

A few extra lbs wouldn't make that much difference to his KO power, it might have made it worse because it would slow him down. You can only add so much weight before the drawbacks start outweighing the benefits.

He can TKO him with overwhelming punches. He's got the speed to do it. KO? very little chance at this point, especially with Margarito's chin. Most likely a UD or late TKO.

yes pac is heavy handed. he isn't a one-punch KO guy (except with Hatton and Lebwaba and Lucero and... anyways). but he's coming into this fight very light and margarito will be coming into this fight very big. of course we know pac is gonna light margarito up. of course we know margarito will land a fair share of punches (cotto landed and clottey landed). but we also know margarito is a tough guy. he took a one-sided beating from mosley for a long time before he got stopped.
