For me it has to be Mayweather, say whatever you want about him but this man has sraight up DOMINATED some top level competition. In the majority of his fights the question hasn't been whether he'll win or lose, but how many rounds he may drop, that's crazy. Now I'm only 25 and I never saw the greats like SRR, Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Pep, Armstrong, Ali, just to name a few. I've seen youtube highlights but I'm talking about who's the best fighter you've seen active during their career, imo youtube or old film can only do so much. As a caveat, Pernell Whitaker and Manny Pacquiao are the 2 next best fighters that I've been privileged to watch. :boxing:
Are you dumb? read the damned thread title.

Read the OP you cunt.

Right, is like me saying Duran was the best fighter I have seen in my lifetime(which was the question). While when I started watching boxing Duran was an old, fat, supper middleweight :lol1: Which was your point with Wazaa.
But, I just like how he threw Pac in there(assuming cuz you're a Pac fan) as being not skilled but a pass prime Tyson look great. I agree if he was talking about a prime Tyson(who you were not talking about) but the post jail Tyson :nonono:
Another idiot. I didn't throw pac in there assuming anyone was a pac fan. Pac just doesn't do it for me. The question is based on visual preference, don't be so retarded - broaden your horizons.
Pacman has a very basic style, personally, he isn't the best fighter i've ever seen. To me, that answer would go to someone who actually fit my tastes more.
Yes, a past prime tyson did things against bums that impressed me more than pacman. I obviously preferred his style more.
so wait.......
you talk to me about the ts question......and now it's regradless of the ts question?
okay.
lmfao
Are you dumb? read the damned thread title.

the guy doesn't understand the question.
he just thought i was ragging on tyson or something.

Pac does nothing for you cuz you don't see much skills but a past prime Tyson looked great? WTF?
the guy doesn't understand the question.

REgardless, he still saw the guy.
Even an out of prime tyson looked great if you discount his losses. He did thing to this day no other fighter even attempts. That ferociousness, speed, and defense...on a heavy? Jaw dropping.
Guys like Pacman do nothing for me. I don't feel like there's much skill involved.
I use to watch clottey and think he was the perfect fighter. Stylistically - he did so much right and looked good doing it.
Pirog impressed me with jacobs. He showed 3 different defensive styles from rolling, slipping, shelling. Went conventional and southpaw, countered and initiated. etc etc.
The opinion shouldn't be based on someones accomplishments or accolades but what style is your cup of tea, visually.
For me
Tyson
mayweather
clottey
finito
jones
and sergio martinez
All do things in spots that to me are pure brilliance. Finito being the most technically sound I've ever seen (although too young to see him at his finest, like the Tyson fan, i've seen videos)
But none of that should matter. As i said, actually read the question.

i think YOU need to fucking read the question.
his question is who's the greatest fighter you've seen who was active in your lifetime.
wazaa is barely in his early 20's. mike tyson's prime was when he was barely born.
next time read before you reply.

You realize there is no correct answer to the OP's question as he's looking for peoples opinion right?
A prime mike imo is a great candidate for best fighter a lot of us have ever seen; i agree.
Actually think about the question.

that **** don't count.
talking about fights going on at the time when you were watching them.
everyone has seen ali and louis and robinson fights on youtube too , you don't see people saying ali , louis and robinson.
the correct answer is manny pacquiao.

Actually think about the question.
#1=Jones. If the question is DOMINATE, than no man did to others what Jones did.
#2=Floyd or SRL(I dont like Floyd at all, but dont hate)
#3=Pac or Whitaker
Pac is the most accomplished.
Mayweather is the most skilled fighter I've seen.
Whatever, fuck them both, Roy Jones ftw.
There may be another Mayweather someday. Maybe even another Pac, but I doubt we will see another fighter like a prime Roy Jones. He didn't just destroy his opponents, he obliterated them.
