It's amazing that we still hear all this "Floyd doesn't fight the best" crap. When he's proven himself over and over again. I don't know of any other fighter going right now who has beaten 15 or more world champions.
The later half of Floyd's career is embarrassing. Just look at the competition after Jose Luis Castillo. Even more so....his last 3 fights.
Mosley, Marquez and Hatton? 2 of them are guys Pacs biggest wins and 1 of them destroyed the guy Manny is about to fight.

An undefeated Hatton. The champ (ODLH) at 154 and SSM. What's so embarrassing about that?? The bookmakers certainly thought these contests were much more competitive than Pac vs Clottey vs Margarito vs Cotto.
sportsbooks paying north of $6.00 on Clottey and MArgo against Pac. Cotto was paying $4.50-$5.00. Hatton, SSM and ODLH were not this wide against Floyd. So the pro's disagree with your assessment.
Your argument is flawed for several reasons.
1. The Morales wins cannot be described as "great" in any sense. This is because Morales was completely dominated by Zahir Raheem in the fight prior. Losing every round. He was clearly finished but Pacquiao never showed any interest in fighting the winner and instead picked Morales a division below where Raheem gave him a boxing lesson. What's even more interesting about the fight is that it was turning out exactly the same as the first one until Erik's legs gave out from the weight drain. How that can be called a "great win" is beyond me.
2. People say "World champion doesnt mean the best" but it's the most clear identification of a fighter's skill level. I don't know any other fighter who has beaten 15 world champions right now. Larios and Solis are both average fighters. Larios had to move up 2 divisions to face Pacquiao and was KO'd in 3rounds in his previous fight by Israel Vasquez. Solis still hasnt won a belt.
3. Hatton's IBO belt may have counted as a "world title" but in reality nobody takes the IBO titles seriously. The WBC belts are the most important. No matter how you try and twist the situation, Floyd has beaten 6 more world champions. And it should be 7 because Marquez clearly beat Pacquiao in the second fight.
"Oh......we don't even count that one" - James Toney
Hey If floyd had no haters it would probably because he was unsuccessful but success breeds envy.
What this man said. Funny how world champions are well beyond their primes but still are world champions in some people's opinion.
not in the first fight....lol.....jmm kissed the canvass how many times vs pac at his comfortable weight?.......lol....and a past prime hoya lost to floyd by SD , do you know what pac did to him?...lol
You cant even compare two obvious fights , your that much of a hater that you cant give Floyd any credit for giving Oscar 16 pounds , instead you try to pump up Pacs beat down of ODH weighing 147 on the night as opposed to 160 , you people are fuked .
last 3 fightss??
hatton-undefeated linear 140 champ,former wba ww champ..p4p top 5
jmm-tune up-lightweight chamo,arguably beat manny.#2 p4p
shane-manny refused to fight him..wba ww champ.top 3 ww.p4p#3..
whats wrong here chups??
mannys last 3 fights
-cotto at 145 catchweight-coming off of terrible perfomances
clottey-coming off of a loss
margo-coming off of a suspension and yet another catchweight
Nothing to argue in my mind bro. Marquez beat Pacquiao twice.
I don't see why anybody hates Mayweather for his work inside the ring, the guy is the outstanding fighter of his generation.
No Pactard, Floyd proved he was the better fighter by beating Castillo decisively, Pac has yet to do that with JMM. What the hell are you talking about?

People sometimes just don't understand. No doubt Floyd is an outstanding boxer, but not everybody sees it that way because they hate his guts. I don't blame them because this is the road Floyd has chosen. He wanted money more than recognition. Floyd said it himself that he don't care about the legacy. So Floyd fans just stop it, people know about how great a boxer Floyd is, they just don't want to let you know. Because they get a laugh at you all getting pissed about it.
you put shamba mitchell for floyd's did'nt you ?....one who got destroyed by tsu for the 2nd time before floyd fought him..and erik>>>>>>shamba by far....hatton was a paper champ at 147, thats why his win to collazo was controversial, thats where floyd fought him..tho he was the lineal cahmp at 140 when pac beat him, in 2 rounds..lol..again floyd fighting jmm at ww was a fukkin joke....jmm was to pac what castilllo was was to floyd!...big deal!

9 of them were champs when mayweather fought them
: hernandez, corrales, gatti, judah (if you count him, he lost his last fight to baldomir but kept title), baldomir, de la hoya, hatton, marquez, mosley
- hatton and marquex were champions in a lower weight class.
- so at least 6 max 9 current champions and 15 title holders and castillo twice.
manny pacquiao
- sasakul (current)
- ledwaba (current)
- barrera - didn't have a title, but was division king without a belt.
- marquez (current)
- morales
- larios
- solis
- diaz (current) - hatton (current - but only ring belt and ibo)
- cotto (current)
- clottey
- i thought manny wouldve beaten more TITLEISTS, but keep in mind great wins over morales did not have world titles on the line. - only 5-7 current titleists, 11 former or current titleists, with two wins over barrera and morales

Interesting points, alot of people didn't know this.
Does anyone know where the idea of Joshua Clottey being an avoided Welterweight came from? I must have missed it throughout the last decade
floyd fought him at 147 where he looked worse, ok win!
floyd beat a lw at ww, big deal, not so good win!
shane's 39 and inactive for 1.5 years almost, pretty good win still, but it is what it is.....all facts!
cotto and margo are the reasons why floyd retoired , remember that too!..clottey was consdired one of the avoided ww, pac fought him!..pac beat these 2 in his 7th weightclass, and fighting margo at another weightclass!...thus, the reason floyd's resume is laughable to pacquiao!
get spell check you idiot.

A lot of the names on that list are WELL past their primes.
So Floyd dominating De La Hoya, Hatton and Mosley when they were all coming off impressive wins somehow translates into "embarrassing" yet Pacquiao fighting Morales after he lost every round to Zahir Raheem, and Hatton, Cotto and Margarito after they were all brutally KO'd is perfectly justified? Your hate just doesn't make any sense at all. But i'm not suprised. I have experienced your ignorance many times before.
Both posts are garbage and the fact that you are both mods just proves my the point that this site needs an overhaul to regain any credibility. There's too many biased idiots that have no idea about the sport.
