Hatton wishes he had made Pacquiao agree to testing for their fight

Former two division world champion Ricky Hatton says he wishes he had Manny Pacquiao agreeing to the same testing rules as he did for his two failed bouts with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Speaking to the thenational.ae, Hatton said “I could have had those rules, but I wasn’t bothered. Maybe in hindsight, I should have done. I must admit, I fancied my chances against Manny. A few years ago he was getting knocked down by little men like Marquez; then all of a sudden he is knocking out Oscar de la Hoya, myself and Cotto, who are powerhouses in comparison. It is a little bit strange. He could be on what Floyd is accusing him of , or it could be that he is just a great fighter who has improved. We will never know.”

Hatton could have asked for OST but then Pac would have turned him down because Ricky is not the commission and giving blood weakens him and he's scared of needles.
Arum would have said that they needed time to build a new stadium.
Even if pac had been juicing (i dont think he was) and OST testing took away that extra x% in power. It would had been worse for Hatton. Manny is just the completely wrong figher for him.
He would have taken a huge beating. Imagine that fight had gone on for 6 or 7 rounds? I even think 130 pac would have beat Hatton, decisively.
At least after 4 years of saying he "agrees" to test, he is FINALLY testing... Ironically his career has gone to sh*t, hasn't fought a WW in years and fired his nutritionist while prepping for those tests.
The former WW title holder in Hatton was exposed the very second Mayweather sent him on a date with that whore of a ring post. Only then did Pac decide to fight him. Ironically Hatton fired his entire team, cried for weeks about losing and to sum it up, hired Mayweather Sr to teach him how to box like the best fighter in the sport.
At least Hatton is still alive.. he really went down hill after the pac fight.
Well Ricky has a right to think this , Rickys dilemma is in deciding what to believe .
Manny getting stopped by little guys does Ricky believe , that Manny gets cramps , Manny lost God , Manny is not motivated , Manny is into his politics , and off course the last big Manny shocker for Ricky to dwell on , Manny gets weak taking blood tests unless your name is Rios in China .
Or does Ricky think he should have asked for OST fighting Manny .
I tell you what, Hatton could have had all the ost testing, strapped with a 45 and borrowed margarto's bricks, Ricky was bouned to get "Hattoned" regardless.
As the saying goes styles makes fights, and Ricky's stand in front assault would only fail him against Manny.
OST would have done little good for him he still would have got HIT with the same punch he and floyd sr was scouting in the video called same PUNCH every time and he got hit with it..
For real, haha. Hatton acted (back when this was written) like Pac was getting knocked around all over the place prior to 2009.
to be fair Hatton mistaken Marquez for Nedal Hussein, Singsurat and Torrecampo
when did jmm knock him down???p.s this article is old...

When someone refuses a test you should of been on him more to take a test.
manny was probably on them and now that hes getting tested wont look the same in this fight
Hatton thought that anyone with a bit of common sense thought then, you don't turn down a 50/50 split of the biggest fight in history over a few tests if you have nothing to hide. :boxing:
Pacquiao created his own **** storm refusing simple drug tests, that's when everyone thought there might be something to it.
I am 100% sure even if Manny came up negative and lost to Floyd he would got a **** storm of "See, Manny ain't **** without PEDs!!"
Hatton implied Pac was on PEDS after the Cotto fight on Sky
Don't ask me for a video, this is a very long time ago, it was when Floyd Snr said those things and Johnny Nelson, Hatton and Nicky Piper were in the studio and they asked Hatton on his thoughts on the matter and he said he agreed with Floyd Snr about many of his comments and that Pac should take the tests if he has nothing to hide.

What was the point Phil? The OP has used speech-marks for something Hatton didn't even say.
