He's turning 32 and he's fighting at least twice a year.
He also had wars in majority on his 122 to 130 fights and went blood and guts "hit me and i''ll hit you" mode on all of his fights below 122.
It would be surprising if he does not show some signs of slowing down againts Margarito.
Yeah he proly wants to retire but boxing is what he truly loves and has been good to him.
he can be the next Bernard Hopkins........Can Manny keep this up until 40?
Way to start the excuses before the fight. That way they don't sound like excuses. Good job guys, I woin't tell.
We dont need excuses. You'd realise that if you'd been here long enough ; )
I'll double your pts if Marg wins just for being hostile :)
Clottey looked big and strong too, but Pac easily beat him. Cotto was big and strong, but Pac easily beat him. De La Hoya was too big and too strong, but Pac easily beaten him. People are searching for someone to beat Pac, and Margarito isn't him. He has zero defense.
you are correct and Im one of those that said all those things but have you seen Margarito lately?

he maybe slipping a little bit, but i don't see pac losing to margo.
too good and too quick, but i have a feeling pac won't leave the fight unscathed.
i agree, pac should have another 2 or 3 fights before he calls it a career.
I hate to say it but I have a feeling that Margarito is going to start Pac's downfall,im not hating I just think that Margarito will be too much for Pac. After Cotto's fight I said i would never doubt Pac again but Margarito just looks too big and strong ,but hell Pac may prove me wrong again.
If it weren't for his other commitments, I think Pac could still have a successful career for the next 2 years or so until he really shows signs of diminishing. Maybe if he moved down to 140, he wouldn't put his body through so much just to keep on the weight.
Not sure if Pac can last till he's 40.
He's one of those guys like Jones Jr. who really relies heavily on natural gifts, such as reflexes, athleticism, speed, and power.
Hopkins mastery of the basics and fundamentals carried him throughout his later career. His technique and boxing IQ made up for his diminished speed and reflexes.
I concur. I think that based on what he has, he is pushing it for next year or so. I would love for him to discipline himself and set ONE YEAR OF NO DISTRACTIONS AND JUST FOCUS ON BOXING....then retire.
The Mayweather fight...then Marquez. A legendary career is over.
