After Cotto got his azz taxed in the 4th round vs Pacquiao, all his corner could give him for advice was....come on you're doing his game plan, box intelligently, come on lets go, you're more intelligent than he is, Let's go let's go, we can recoupe, let's gooooooooooooo...let's gooooooooooooooooooo
Really, thought he would have lost against Foreman, without the accident...Think again
lol hilarious cotto was dominating that fight except round 4. Just stop it. cotto had that fight in the bag.

Really? You smoking some good **** there man. Cotto lose 1 round, 4, thats it. Judges had it 79-73, 79-73, and 78-74 all for Cotto. Hbo commentators all had the same score. He boxed Foreman, "the boxer", silly and that accident just brought the KO about faster. He was going to win regardless, decision or maybe later KO. Anybody can see that, or did you just watch it with the hate already built inside? Sigh, that might explain it.
Cotto fought Pacquiao by himself and paid 4 it. Manny had Freddie Roach who kept giving him actual boxing advice round after round. It was sad 2 see as a Cotto fan.
Make him cry, make him cry
I don't think it mattered much. Sure Santiago gave him no advice, but what advice was he going to give him. Cotto needed to hurt Pacquiao enough to slow him down, and he couldn't. He needed to manage distance better, and he couldn't. He was doomed. He did not have the conditioning to keep up with such a brutal pace. By the time the 4th came around, it did not matter. He was gassed already, as a policy he refuses to hold, and it was only a matter of time. I am a Cotto fan- no doubt. But during the 4th there was no hope for him; he looked physically wiped out.
So, instead of Santiago telling Cotto, "Damn, you need to be in better shape", "****, why don't you hold every once in a while", or "damnit, force him to set-up again instead of exchanging 5-6 punches in a row", he told him the only thing Cotto might do...grow some balls and fight some more...and oh, yeah...keep throwing the jab.
Force him to the corner and throw uppercut or something.

Yea but it also sad to see ur fellow ricans who think that just bc he has steward in his corner he can beat manny. When he would just get the crap beat out of him a second time.
Well may loose again but not as bad
the corner was my biggest concern going into this fight and it was brutally obvious that if Cotto couldnt blast Manny out of there with Plan A that it was gonna be a long night.
Not saying Cotto would have won but damn I wish i would have got to see him fight that night with a real corner.

what else were they gonna say? cotto knows more about boxing than they do

Yea, the Cotto corner was just there to cheer him on.
Evangelista Cotto was a good and underrated trainer i think. People said he trained by himself, but i'm sure they made gameplans and they fought with a decent gameplan against Mosley, Margarito, Judah.
oh well, at least he has Mr. Steward now, who's doing a good job.
