@AmirKingKhan Yh I agree I'm a lot faster then manny but he's still great he is superb at putting punchs togther and great footwork n timing. All our spars are very even, ask the people watchin o freddie roach but I want thank manny for helping me out to. He's a great role model/champion

Honestly I feel Amir may be a tad bit faster in handspeed, but much of that is due to Manny fighting above the weight class he should be fighting at.
Pac has slowed down quite a bit since he left SFW but he is still faster than every WW due to the smaller guys in lower weight classes just being naturally faster.
Another thing to consider is Manny is a gamer. What I mean by that is that he isn't the greatest in sparring etc, but when fight night comes, he turns into a beast. I have heard this from several people as well, but I will leave it up to you guys to find the videos as I'm too tired to look for them.
Khan is faster. Hes a talented fighter/boxer, it dont suprise me 1 bit he has even rows with manny.... Khan is a formidable boxer... I dont see why people are in shock...
the only logical way you could even say this if you actually stepped inside the ring with Manny and then Khan and then compare the two
otherwise its more BS from the Bolton Braggart
haha that is fuuny. no way that is happening.
Khan has the mental edge. He has the killer instinct.
He's not thinking of being hurt. He's thinking of hurting
his opponent. With proper training he could hone that
instinct to reinforce that advantage.
It kind of sounds like he thinks he is the next "Pacman" and that he is giving false compliments trying to appear to be respectful. To me, I think Khan is a tough, tough guy for anyone and will beat Maidana and could even challenge Mayweather at some point but he is still young relative to the sport and he seems to talk a big game. Same story with Berto, great talent but needs to prove it some. I'll say that Khan has done more to prove he is legit than Berto has at this point though. I just wish these guys would quit that Twitter and Ustream crap and just be humble guys because that karma wheel keeps on turning and when it stops on their names all that bragging stuff may leave a nasty aftertaste.
Yeah, I see that too. He is very impressive. His skills, talent, youth, everything. They are moving him along wisely but I still feel as if this new version of him hasn't been tested and is a question mark. We'll see.
I don't think Khan thinks he can beat Pac.
He also complemented Pac a lot there, but he wants the paydays.

I swear most posters on this site would prefer Khan to remain absolutely silent, not big his fights up, and let the lack of hype lead to poor television ratings and the total abandonment of televised boxing by the big networks. Because whatever Khan says he is chastised for it. Maybe it's racism, maybe it's an anti British/Muslim sentiment, I'm not sure?
It's no wonder why the UFC is currently beating boxing to its knees. At least MMA fans support their stars. Boxing fans just rip theirs down. One loss and you are thrown on the scrap head, one misplaced comment and you are incessantly hated upon and victimised. Boxing fans need to start becoming more objective and look at the bigger picture, and become fans of boxing and boxers, rather than fans of hating boxers. I swear the majority of posters on BS only log in to hate upon certain individuals. It's sad, very, very sad.
I don't know about all this and I don't really care. I mean is sparring FFS's. Who cares what happens there.
I just know that Maidana will be in a world of hurt. I can tell you that much.
panda already said theyre about equally fast with one getting the slight edge over the other....rashad here says amir's got the faster hands and pac's got the faster feet. thats about right...amir also throws from a shorter distance and he throws straight punches...pac mixes it up with uppercuts, hooks and looping left hands from all angles. in other words amir relies more on straight shots which can attribute to him being slightly faster in handspeed
If Khan and Pac fought in the ring, Khan actually thinks he would win? I think Khan is talented but he has a big mouth and is buying into the hype that he is a superstar. If he and Pacquiao actually fought, I'd put my money on Pac via KO...why hasn't Khan collected on the 2K bounty yet then? Maybe he just isn't fast enough I guess.
It probably is 50/50 in his eyes because he sees himself doing well against the best fighter in the world. He's probably forgetting that the best fighter in the world is probably trying things out or sharpening others but who cares? We all know Manny would beat him in a real match and the kid is gaining a lot of experience sparring with him.
sparring is far different from actual fight...
you got the fastest hands on the sparring session.. but got a glass chin in the actual fight. not a good thing.
Read the bottom of the bold by Roach.
Amir is faster than anybody.
This was the first day of sparring, now it has been a week and Khan only started training like a day or two before this article and was unfit.
my bad...
still that really doesnt sound convincing...its ronnie's article and hes trying to get people into thinking pacman is getting pushed...roach may have literally said hes faster than anybody while elaborating on manny's training...
honestly unless manny bulked up panda sees khan and pacman as equally fast, maybe one getting the slight edge over the other. 50/50 in sparring panda doesnt buy...for real
It probably is 50/50 in sparring. Amir is a world champion now, with potential to do great things in the sport of boxing.
Amir has always been fast as well. Since his first Pro fight he has had speed, but just lacked a lot of the other stuff to go with it.
Khan said he is faster than Pac with the hands, so he is. I aint got a problem with that. I heard pac has faster footwork, so i believe that as well.
Roach said Khan is faster/ You have selective reading
Khan's frist day of sparring. Manny looked good but Roach said:
By Ronnie Nathanielsz
Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao, fast getting into the kind of shape he needs to be in against Antonio Margarito who was described by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum as a “much bigger, stronger fighter who keeps coming at you” sparred ten rounds at the Shape Up Gym in tyohoon-battered Baguio City and “looked good” according to conditioning expert Alex Ariza.
Ariza told BoxingScene.com/Inquirer, Pacquiao “looked a lot better” that his previous sparring sessions and by starting with Khan “it brought Manny out of his shell, got on his toes because he had to deal with Amir’s speed since he is if not the fastest one of the fastest fighters in the sport and he’s a big guy too standing five feet ten inches.”
Sparring behind closed doors on orders of trainer Freddie Roach, the sparring “went back and forth” even as Ariza noted that with most of his opponents Amir “controls everything but with Manny he had to do a little more thinking because he had to be very careful.”
Pacquiao sparred three rounds each with Glen Tapia and Manuel Medina even as Roach told us that Pacquiao was “slowing down to their pace. They are a little bit slow and that’s why I am using Amir to bring his hand speed back. He needs to fight at a high pace. Amir is faster than anybody and I want to bring the speed back in Manny.”
Prior to the sparring session Roach told BoxingScene/Inquirer that they “need to reach a higher level and push a little and there should be no problem.” Roach said it was a good sign that Pacquiao appeared a little concerned about where he is at this stage of his preparation and it showed when he spent two hours training on the track in the rain with Khan as Ariza pushed both fighters to the limit.
Roach said he plans to give Pacquiao “two really hard weeks of sparring and then we’ll start tapering off and at fight time we’ll be ready. I promise you.” He said he would add undefeated Vanes Martirosyan and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr to the list of sparring partners at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles beginning next week.
Both promoter Arum and BoxingScene noticed during the punch-mitts session on Monday that Pacquiao was working diligently on his right hand. Roach confirmed the observation stressing that “the left is dangerous but the right will knock him (Margarito) out.”
Arum observed “what I saw today really gives me as Manny’s promoter a lot more confidence. I love the way he was using the right hand because the right hand trust me is the key to the fight.”
Prior to stepping into the ring for his first sparring session with Pacquiao who plans to come down after sparring on Thursday, work out at the Johnny Elorde gym on Friday and leave for the US on Saturday night, Khan said there should be no “no concern over his condition. He’s been training well and looking in good shape.”
While he conceded that the “Fighter of the Decade” has been “quite busy with congress and everything and maybe that’s why sometime his mind is somewhere else. But I have to say the way he’s training sparring, running he gives 100 percent and on the punch mitts he can do 15-20 rounds easy and the fight is only going to be 12 rounds.”
Khan said “I know Margarito is a big guy , a strong guy he’s going to be fit as well because this is a big fight for him and a chance to make him a big star but I’m sure Manny knows exactly what he’s doing. He has the experience of being in this game for so long. At the moment I think his condition is okay. Speed is definitely his asset. You cannot develop it. You’ve either got it or you don’t Manny can’ t go in there and try to knock him out because he (Margarito) can take a good shot. Manny will use the angles and his speed can help him in this fight. Look at the shot that knocked out Ricky Hatton. It was so fast he didn’t see the punch. It was that quick. Oscar De La Hoya was a big guy too. Speed won that fight. It will win this fight also.”

indeed, ure right on the selective reading part...at least on ronnie's articles which panda avoids reading :lol1:
nowhere in that article does it state amir is faster than manny...it says: "he is if not the fastest one of the fastest fighters in the sport". well so is manny....
nor does it say its 50/50 in sparring
Working with Pac has improved Khan untold ammount. Now Floyd will never fight Khan.
But FLoyd dont be too scared of khan. Speed is one thing and using the speed is another thing altogether. It might take Khan a while longer to most effectively use his speed because Pac would still beat Khan now.
So take Khan now Floyd in England like you said before its too late.
