Cotto embarrasses Hatton at eithe weight.
I mean, what version of Cotto at 140 do people think Hatton would beat? The version that fought Malignaggi? MAYBE, and even that I doubt.
But the version that fought...say, Randall Bailey? Come on, Hatton has no chance, Cotto would walk through him with very little problem.
graham would have no plan for cotto. cotto by 1st body shot then hook to the head.

Cotto IMO, he was just that little bit stronger I think, especially at WW.
I never saw a difference in Hatton; when he moved up to 147. Just that he faught better opposition at WW and he couldn't control these much bigger men; which was a major part of his style. When I say that Hatton would have beat Cotto at 140, that's more due to Cotto struggling to make 140. Cotto at 140 could hardly take a punch, and no offense, but I saw nothing in Cotto that told me he could handle Hatton at 140. I think Hatton would be all over him and force a stoppage in the mid to late rounds. Now at 147 Cotto wins, no doubt about that. Cotto's conditioning/ ability to take a punch improved greatly as he moved up, his strength also improved.
Hatton got beat up by Collazo and Mayweather at 147.
How about 2005 Hatton vs 2005 Cotto when they were both at 140. Not one coming up in weight to fight the other. Cotto beats him at 147 but at 140 Hatton kills Cotto.
@47, Cotto ko's him, at @40, close...hard to tell. Ricky was good at lower weight. Very fast and great stamina. Pit that against Cotto's shortened length of stamina and Ricky stands a good chance.
ricky at 140 say 2006/2007 could also take almost anything, that tszau fella or however you spell it landed so many big blows but at 140 ricky was a beast, he was a good all round boxer at that level and had amazing stamina as you said but also a great chin
cotto wins at 147
but at 140 the fight could go either way but i would favor cotto
^^I would too, however,

47 cotto stops him easily
cotto gets off the canvas at 40 to win a ud or perhaps a late stoppage depending on the amount of holding allowed, the location (cotto might box if the fight was in new york and had a lead whereas if it was overseas he'd probably push for a stoppage)
however, in hattons backyard with the right ref and judges i could see hatton getting a decision at 140. he was stellar in his prime and is becoming underrated because of his two losses to the current p4p kings
rough ugly fight with cuts and clashes of heads at 140
at 47 i think its a blowout
hatton on the ropes or in a corner getting blasted out in mid rounds
