The first thing they tell you in boxing classes is keep yo damn hands up so you wont get hit....what does he do? Played Roy Jones with his hands down and kept eatin Vitali's punches...
Is G Dog the only one confused about this? Could of saved him ALOT of punishment
Because it's his style, he always keeps them at the height he did in the Vitali fight plus he's old and shot so he's going to get tired / exhausted faster which will cause a lot of wear and tear on his arms thus he's not going to be able to keep them up for the whole fight.
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to NChristo again.
Where did I say keeping your hands down is a better game plan ?, quote me saying that please.
It's not like he had a choice, he was not able to keep his hands up, not being able and not wanting too are 2 different things.
Learn to read "son", done here, you're boring me.
Is it really that hard to keep your hands 6 inches higher? Or is it easier to eat BOMBS from Vitali Klitchsko?
Lolz
what surprised me was how dopey Briggs looked on the ring entrance... looked like he was sleep walking. Seemed a completely different character to the hyped up guy that was at the weigh in

So keepin your hands up hurts your stanima more than gettin hit flush in the face?
So you think him keepin his hands down and gettin hit flush is a better game plan? Lolz

Well, why didn't malignaggi keep his hands up against Khan? It's because a lot of fighters feel they have an easier time getting off their punches with the left hand low.
I did actually question why Malignaggi didn't keep his hands up. If you're getting tagged to the face at will the sensible thing to do is keep your hands up, especially when your opposition has a great range.
You see with Mayweather he keeps his hands dropped but if the opponent starts tagging him cleanly he will keep his hands up.
It's about being sensible.
Where did I say that ? :dunce:
You think everyone is able to keep their hands up when they're damn near 40 years old, have been in many wars, have always had major stamina problems and are / have been taking flush shots all night ?, you think he wanted that to happen ?.
Yes you are the only one confused about it because it's ****ing common sense that he was not able too.

SO instead of keepin his hands up and lettin his arms and gloves absorb the punishment, YOU think it was a better idea to let his FACE absord the punches FLUSH? Instead of blockin em with a tight guard?
hmm...

I suppose ,thats what it looked like to me,maybe he was worried about having an asthma attack.
So keepin your hands up by your cheek bones induces asthma attacks?
hmmm........G Dog has asthma and that doesnt sound right man lol
Briggs should have gone out swinging, better to get stopped from exhaustion than stand their like a tool for 12 rounds getting punched and throwing hardly anything back.
I think he was trying to defend his body,he knew he could absorbs Vitalis head shots.
So he protected his body so he could get a concussion and fractures in his face?
lolz
If any other fighter used Brigg's gameplan of obsorbing punishment with his face and not even TRYING to stop ANYTHING their trainer would grab them and slap the shyt out of them and tell em to use a GUARD!
How hard is it to keep your hands up to absord some of the punches? G Doggy Dog would rather let his hands and arms hurt from gettin hit rather than the FACE

The amateurish way he fought by just standing there absorbing shots to the head should be cause for concern. He didn't even try to move away and use the ring to create distance. He just showed up to get hit and collect a check.
