Well, Tarver is less proven and more of a joke at heavyweight than Shannon Briggs, the former linear HW champion. At least Briggs has that KO of Lyakhovich to win the WBO title, and has the most first round KOs in HW history. And Showtime refused to show Peter-Klitschko... ...yet Peter KOed Aguilera in round 2, and Aguilera has lost again since then. And Wlad is the current Ring, WBO and IBF HW champion. Essentially this series is an investment. Compare that with the Vitali-Briggs fight which most people consider to be a joke that's taking place in Germany under the control of another network that would have to be shown on tape-delay.
