ok people.. everyone with boxing knowledge knows this is most likely gunna be a bute win... but give brinkley some credit, he has turned his career around since his slump on the contender... he has won i believe 9 fights in a row, with a few knockouts, he is no joke, he can punch, and he can take punches... when he got stopped on body shots he wasnt in shape and wasnt taking boxing serious, look at his fights with stevens and gilbert, he is ripped, in shape, motivated, and performs well...
even against stevens he got caught to the head hard in round 1, and he still continued and won the fight... so anything can happen , bute isnt even anything special, ive seen him look less than impressive...
im pulling for brinkley, but he clearly is a big underdog
thats a funny thing to say...he won almost every round up until spina landed that bodyshot...
easy work for bute...brinkley might last longer than miranda because miranda was deliberately leaving himself open and bute took advantage of the oppertunity...
Jesse just finished up a ten week camp during which he sparred over 150 rounds with sharp southpaws. During recent interviews Brinkley and his trainer (Peter Manfredo Sr) were both very realistic about the task at hand.
If Brinkley has sharpened up his ability to defend the body, and corrected the habit of letting his right hand wander around while jabbing, he can make this an interesting fight for 8-10 rounds. If not, he'll go down early.
Either way Jesse Brinkey earned his shot and he is going to take it. You can't fault a guy for that. At this point he is obviously better than Zuniga and Miranda.

I happen to think that he does stop him. Relatively early as well.
His counter-pnching as well as his power will catch up to the fringe contender early and he'll drop him a few times. Probably around the 4th round.
All signs point to yes, it should be that way but not everything goes as planned. There has to be upsets in boxing, that's a pro on the sport.. But I don't see it happening on this particular night. I saw jesse recently and he looks old.
If he doesn't then he just exposes himself even more. Brinkley isn't even a natural 168 pounder and Butes a big super middleweight.
