In that new video on YouTube Arum says Paul vs Manny wouldn't be a good fight because Manny is too short. WELL THEN KEEP HIM OUT OF WW AND JMW ROBERT!!! Another duck move.
Martinez will expose him again and this time He will get the D. PW size, volume and reach are not enough this days. He really needs to stop believing the HYPE and continue learning and putting some muscle on those long arms and legs.
He's not a complete package and it has been noticed on his last fights.
If boxing was about big and tall, Basketball players would be Champions.
u realize williams was preparing for pavlik right? get your facts straight before you open ur trap. martinez aint exposed or exposing ****. he got lucky one night many moons ago. williams gonne cut the boy up, cut him up bad.
Hmm so Manny wants the recognition of being a 154 lb champion but refuses to fight a guy who has fought Margarito, Manny's next fight, at 147 lbs!!
That says it all. Absolutely, positively, a duck move. And absolutely, positively a WISE move b/c Williams would beat the hell out of Pacquiao and Floyd, and they both know it. He's just a matchup nightmare. But, ya know what, these guys wanna be considered legendary fighters...THEN YOU GOTTA FIGHT THE BEST AND TOUGHEST FIGHTS OF YOUR ERA, I DONT GIVE A SH*T IF A GUY IS 'TOO TALL', HE STILL FIGHTS IN YOUR DIVISION!!!!

Williams CLEARLY better than those guys? what did he do? who did he beat recently that impress you? Paul Williams is overrated. fighting Manny in 147 lbs would be the end of his overhype career. his only advantage would be his height.
Well he beat Margarito for starters, who beat the other two. You ok this morning? :lol1:
Nobody is. But to your point, he's clearly a better fight than Margarito, Clottey or Cotto. Is boxing not about the best fighting the best?

it should work that way unfortunately, uncle Bob keeps it all in house. He truly is a plague to boxing.
IMO, Uncle Snob is avoiding negotiating with any other promoter, unless they lay down for him.
So He makes his boxers look like duckers, when it reality He's the ducker motivated by greed.
Cintron only "schooled" him for 3 and a half rounds though. That really means nothing. Nothing at all.
In 3 and a half rounds Judah would be a HOF'er,
In 3 and a half rounds Floyd would have a couple losses,
In 3 and a half rounds Cotto schooled Margarito.
3 and a half rounds is not a whole fight. So 3 and a half rounds prove absolutely nothing.
Then look at the Quintana rematch. Plus both Quintana and Cintron are signifacantly bigger than Pac. Sooner or later size will play an issue. Even though P-Will don't fight tall as in range and uses the jab. He fights in your range he is still around 6'4. Unless he bends all the way down to 5'6 I see him with his size, wingspan, and workrate giving Pac hell. I honestly think he beats Pac.
There is no more excuses for that fight not happening.
The thing with Pac is that I do believe he loves the challenge and to test his limits. And I do believe that he really does like to give fans a good show. Pac has nothing to lose really but alot to gain - respect. I really wouldn't be surprised if Pac fights Williams, Pac loves a war. Paul could be a great retirement fight for Pac if the Floyd fight doesn't fall through. Win or lose against Paul, as long as Pac performs like a warrior, you won't help but give the guy mad props.
I agree this fight should happen or Manny needs to fight Martinez instead of fighting TR fighters.
Williams has a slim chance of beating Manny when she gets schooled by guys like Cintron and Quintana.

Once again......Manny just fought at 130 two years ago. He is moving up and getting more comfortable at WW. Why do people expect him to fight MW's already?
With that said, a little over a year ago.....Arum said there is no way in hell that he would make Manny vs Margarito, because Margarito is too big (despite Manny saying he wanted the fight). Before that Arum thought Cotto and guys like Clottey were too big as well.
The thing is Manny is slowly proving himself more and more and Arum hit the nail on the head when he said, "Lets see how he does against Margarito first".
This was the same stance he had after the Hatton fight...then after the Cotto fight and so on and so on.
I've said the same ... Manny's team will see how he does against Margo then decide what to do next as far as fighting bigger guys (or not).... plus they always have that expectation to fight Floyd if that opportunity presents itself.
In boxing, it's not about height. It's about weight. And Pac screwed himself over by fighting at 150 against Marquez. Watch, if he and Williams ever even come close to talking, there going to ask for 147 or lower.
I agree (except with the Marquez part :lol1:). Pacquiao-Williams will be for Pac's 147 crown.

Ya in the fight Manny Pacquiao can only hit around Paul Williams chest just a small bit above the belt line..... Great fight.
Being honest, Paul Williams is no longer impressive to me. Ever since he fought Martinez, he seems to continue on the decline. I'd say Kermit Cintron was winning the fight until he jump off the ropes.

If Manny easily beats the huge, aggressive Margarito then Williams will be more feasible.

If Williams were to beat Martinez for the Middleweight title and stay put in that division and Pacquiao moved up to try to fight for a ninth divisional title I would rip Pac for not fighting him if Pac went after some random belt holder because it's a safer fight. Regardless if Paul loses to Martinez like I think he may do, Pac shouldn't even waste his time with him. He has to beat Martinez to even be in the conversation and he hasn't done that yet other than the first time by the skin of his teeth.
Yeah because Clottey and Margarito were on huge win streaks when Manny fought them.
