The reason why Clottey vs Williams never happened because HBO denied the fight(williams is under contract with HBO) and couldn't afford funding it. WTF are you talking about, according to this Boxing Scene, Clottey turned down 650k to fight Williams: http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=23135 how is 650k not enough for Clottey? lol You call the guy out and called him a "Weak Welterweight" then when he answer your challenge you want to be picky about Money? lol Arum and Clottey didn't want that fight the bigger problem is actually Goossen and Arum, they don't get along at all and after the Pavlik fights fell apart TWICE...I seriously doubt they will be working together anytime soon which sucks for Boxing because we may never see Williams vs Cotto, Margarito, Pavlik or Pacquiao because of their BAD relationship

I have come to the realization that peoples obbsession with Williams is not for me to understand. I don't get and will no longer try to get it.

cotto has been in a position to fight whoever the hell he wants for quite awhile now. He has had many opportunities to fight PW. Most cotto fans will say that pw is a nobody, has 10 fans(burner counting as 9 + pw's mom), no money in a pw fight, etc.... All I have to say is who the fuk is jennings and foreman and in his next fiasco, chavez jr.? Cotto is a warrior according to most posers on here. But what warrior chooses the weakest comp in their division when the toughest are free to fight and cheap? wake up novices! all these so called elites are nothing more than carefully crafted careers that capitalize on fans' willingful ignorance. im sorry but fighting Pacquaio, clottey, margarito, and shane is not what i called carefully crafted careers especially all those fights were close except for the Pacquaio fight. Martinez is the only guy in boxing who WANTS to fight P. Will. That's a fact, and if you disrespect P. Will you shouldn't even consider yourself a boxing fan. Guy has earned everything he got. His 1 loss he avenged, and in his toughest fight vs Martinez he took the rematch. The guy consistently tries to fight top guys. I don't understand how anyone hates on him. That still doesn't change the fact that if Williams knocked Martinez out of the ring for a twenty count Cotto would still duck him and fight some other bum ass for a vacant belt. There is nothing to suggest he tried to weasel out of the fight. None.
