yeah, catchweight restrictions are what puts boxing in such a poor state, and not the OBVIOUSLY BAD JUDGE SCORING that occasionally happens to big fights, right? bad decisions don't erode the fact that catchweight title fights are wrong. Boxing is the only global sport where rules are modified all the time. It doesnt happen anywhere else....All other major sporting bodies try very hard to get people to compete at the same level, in boxing the superstars do everything to "cheat"....

it disturbs me that boxing fans are defending a title fight with catchweight restrictions, that's why boxing is in such a poor state. Either fight at a full 154 for the title, or keep the catchweight and give up the shot at the WBC strap. I honestly don't get this as the fight will be the same at 150 as it would be at 154. Actually the title is between 147.1 and 154.0. This will be a junior middleweight bout, though I to believe their should be no catch weight. Can't blame Pac though, Margs signed off on it so he must not think its a problem. Let's be real here, Tony had no choice. He was promised this fight from Arum so he was going to fight him if they demanded the fight to take place at lightweight.

154 is the LIMIT, it only means you cant weigh over. Just because there is a 55 Mph speed LIMIT on the highway, doesnt mean you HAVE to drive 55 Mph but if you get in the left land and limit your speed to 50 mph, then the car behind should be able to overtake you...which isn't possible on Hwy Catchweight

The only WW bigger then Margarito right now is Mike Jones. hes still a WW. according to his own trainer, he came into camp at 160 (as opposed to 175 for the garcia fight). 10 lbs is nothing at all to lose. look at it this way. the fight will happen closer to margarito's ideal fighting weight than it is to manny's. advantage= margarito.
