Andy Lee is really fighting Troy Lowry? Wow!
How far as Lee's stock fallen. The 40 year old Lowry has not won a fight since 2005 and was most recently destroyed in July by 19 year old phenom Dominic Wade in 1 round. How long can Lee fight bums. What's the point? Build him up to get whacked by one of the young middleweights like Fernando Guerrero? It just doesn't make sense.
i was never impressed, especially after all the hype and how he was supposed to be the man, and then when i saw him fight i thought he was plain, very telegraphic, and nothing really special that warranted all the praise without any real professional achievements .................... then the vera loss proved it..............
until he is beating the guys that he's supposed to beat and im not talking about club tomato can fighters, im talking ranked fighters who are out there with a real cause in boxing.
Same, im irish- duddy and bernard dunne both didnt live up to the expectations. So im rooting for Lee, Kavanagh, Macklin, and Murray to go all the way!
Throw Dean Byrne in there too could be very good if he gets more active
I know boxing pretty well and I don't know who would win a Vera/Lee rematch. I just know that Lee needs to avenge that rematch to be considered prospect/contender.
Yes he has lost 4 out of his last 5 fights. Care to go behind the numbers?
Losses to very good fighters Maksym Bursak, Isaac Rodriguez, Craig McEwen, James Kirkland. Those 4 fighters have a combined record of 73-0-1 at the time of the fights.
Oh yeah, the win...was against Sebastian Demers. A pretty good fighter in his own right.
And lets look ahead to the future, Nov 13th vera is in for a WHOOPING.
If you honestly are telling me Lee doesnt handle Vera in a rematch the only thing i can tell you is to watch rounds 1-4 again.
I like Vera, hes exciting, but the only wins he'll ever et is against young, inexperienced fighters like Lee. Pavlik will put him in his place.
OR because vera has lost 4 out of his past 5 fights and means nothing at this point, any1 who knows boxing knows Lee would KO vera before the 5th in a rematch.
Its funny how you only post round 7..

as a fellow irishman i want to see lee tested by a name soon.

Wow! Taking critiques from Anthony Peterson? He had no idea what he was doing against Rios. Remember that?
lol i knew you would say that.
i think the WHOLE world and any1 with a sense of boxing knowledge agrees with him though, its not like he went out on a limb with a big statement, he said soemthing we all know. Lee was winning that fight, and due to his inexperience started to brawl with a smaller/stronger fighter when he should have stayed using his longer reach like he did in the earlier rounds
Anthony Peterson-"Andy Lee made this fight way more harder then its supposed to be"

Staying active is good but I don't know if he's improving with these fights, I saw a fight of his a few fights back and he still looked like he couldn't deal with pressure and is way too open for right hands. And his relationship with Steward doesn't seem to be as tight as it was before.
I think it might have something to do with this....

Listen if you want to say hes a bum well then thats your opinion but not for one second can i believe that first line that is pure **** talk
Okay. It's all good
Guerrero was exposed by ishe! next
...gottem'
Come on guys, seriously? Ishe Smith was a game veteran opponent who used every tactic in the book to sneak out a victory over Guerrero and still lost at least 8 rounds on my scorecard. Turn the volume off so you don't get caught up in Farhhod's Ishe/Nick Charles love affair melodrama and rewatch the fight. Ishe landed 20+ low blows on Guerrero and at least 5 of those were blatant cup shots. It was these low blows that slowed Guerrero and enabled Ishe to win the final 3 rounds. Game effort by Smith as he fought the only type of fight he could if he hoped to win but he still lost.
You would take Andy Lee over Fernando Guerrero? Seriously?
Trust me I would have no problem calling him a bum to his face. I say he is a bum in relation to his standing has a so called middleweight prospect/contender. He is neither a prospect nor a contender in my eyes. He is faking the system and would be destroyed by any real middleweight.
