When FMJ/Pac was being negotiated people were talking sh*t about FMJ wanting the fight at 154 even though it was never proven. So how can ANYONE justify Pac wanting the fight w/Margarito at 149?? If you are fighting for the JWW belt, and you want to call yourself the legitimate champ, how do you ask the other fighter, to come in lower than 154? When FMJ fought Oscar, he was what(?) 150 or so? He didn't ask for a catchweight. Pac is fighting a someone a lot worse than Oscar was at the time that FMJ fought him and was STILL asking for a big catchweight. The ONLY reason there is to do this, is to weaken the fighter, because your team is worried that you can't beat him at the legitimate weight, am I wrong?
because pac probably couldn't weigh past 151 if he tried.
To build up to the speed and conditioning that he has on fight night, his metabolism is running at crack-speed.
because of his inhuman training, it's hard for him to eat more than he burns. Right now Ariza has him on a 7000+ calorie diet and he's still burning more than he can take in

Ok, and what does this have to do w/demanding the fight limit to be @ 150?? Pac and team should come in at any weight they want to up to 154, but don't dictate to the other fighter his weight for a 154 title. FMJ fought ODH @ 154. Oscar weighed in at 154 & FMJ @ 150. Oscar probably rehydrated up to 160 or more. FMJ in many fights has weighed in at 146 and came into the ring at 146. Did he ask for a catchweight? Nope! See the difference? The ONLY reason to ask another fighter to come in lighter is to make him weaker than what he would've been at his natural weight.
i'd be surprised if Manny weigh more than 154 come fight night though so its all Marg's advantages in terms of weight, height and reach. we all know Manny is a natural welterweight now.
No, that is what YOU think I believe lol... You have to go this route, and I see why lol...
Wow...This reply shows that you got lost somewhere in the conversation...Or do you not remember, or know why J came at you cause of the post you quoted?
You agreed with a post that stated Margo was the champ. In fact, the post was a joke, and you took it as gospel...
Don't thank me, just trying to keep you in the game champ.:boxing:
No, that is what YOU think I believe lol... You have to go this route, and I see why lol...
So you don't agree that Marg is the champ?
What other route could I have gone to. When I criticize a poster who you said was right when he said Marg was the champ.
Why "was" moron. Ask the two fighters why since they negotiated the weight stipulation... The fight wasalways promoted as a ww title fight. Some stupid mofo's actually think that Floyd weighed in 2 lbs over on purpose as if that was some sort of advantage lol...
So the Floyd-JMM fight was always at 147 and a TITLE fight?
But, yet there was a stipulation for 144?
I learn something new everyday on here.
Just today I learned from you that Margarito is the champ and Floyd-JMM was a title fight.
Good shit.
Wait, if such a small weight difference isn't an advantage, why do you discredit Pacquiao's win over Cotto? He was only asked to weighJust shut up lol...:banghead:

The fight "was always" moron...
I dont mind the 144 catchweight, nor do i mind the 151 catchweight. Floyd was wrong for coming in overweight but atleast that wasnt for a vacant #1 147 title because that would have been just incredibly wrong. Thats the main issue i have.

Wait, if such a small weight difference isn't an advantage, why do you discredit Pacquiao's win over Cotto? He was only asked to weigh 2 pounds below 147 yet, you constantly bring up that fight to show how much of a "fraud" Pacquiao is.
So which is it then?
Did anyone else know the weight was dropped to 150lbs? That went under the radar till I read what Margarito said. If it was against someone else I might care more but I'm not sympathetic to Margarito so he can deal with it.
FMJ didnt demand that JMM fight to be at 147. He said he wouldn't be able to make the 144 limit & made 146. The guy had just taken almost 2 yrs off from fighting. So, how do u know how his body was responding? Anyone saying that FMJ didn't try to make weight is just speculating. JMM signed the contract to make it a 147 fight w/ penalties above 144 so it was a legit fight and it wasn't for a belt. Big difference.
Pac asked for 145 in the negotiations for Cotto. Far b4 weigh in time, so that was another time that there was no other reason to ask, other than to weaken a fighter. A fighter that Roach had already said was "not the same fighter" after fighting Margarito, I might add.
pac vs cotto/margarito = both knew that the target weight far before weigh in time so they had alot of time to prepare for it.
floyd vs jmm = last minute weight changes. jmm was trying to make 144 (as if it weren't tough enough) most of the training camp, not 147. it's like he was held at gunpoint when pbf informed them he couldn't make 144.
FMJ fough ODH at HIS weight weighing in at a much lower weight. No catchweight, not a weight that he hadn't fought in 7 yrs and not w/a dehydration clause either. So FMJ doesn't have the history of trying to weaken or getting a weight advantage over his opponents like Pac does.
Check the stats. FMJ was the smaller fighter in most of his fights
yes, because jmm was like a Pudzianowski at that weight...
Wow.... This response of yours was lame. And, you agree with the poster that Margarito is the champ.
:rofl:No, that is what YOU think I believe lol... You have to go this route, and I see why lol...

This does not qualify as a boxing answer:wank: lol...

Oh......... So Margarito is the champion? Oh OK I don't know why I thought it was a vacant title.
You right, you and that poster tell it like it is and have the same amount of knowledge.
lol @ Margarito being the champion. This does not qualify as a boxing answer:wank: lol...
