Paulie has stated that he is leaving 140 so why is everyone thinking hes going to fight Ortiz? i guess money could bring him down, but i honestly thought hed be a name on Canelo's resume. It would also give Canelo a look at a pure boxer to see how he does against that style. Paulie has also never been ko'd, as in out cold, so we could still learn even more from Alvarez.
This would be a good test for Alvarez, but honestly I don't think Paulie takes it..... The only reason Paulie is moving up to 147 is because he is hoping for a fight against Mayweather and it would be too risky for him to fight a big puncher like Saul.
But hey it might happen after, and IF, he gets the Mayweather fight.
For the record, I don't think Paulie has a chance of beating Floyd, I believe the only reason Paulie would want to fight him is for the big check $$$$ that comes after the fight.
:hitit::boxing:
Paulie needs a better a style. He has the same injury Calzaghe had. Calzaghe adapted better by using workrate to win fights. Paulie still pot shots and tries to outbox his opponents. He's gonna have to swarm his opponents like Calzaghe and just hope to win fights on workrate. His power is going to get him no where but only beating C fighters. He can't outbox a B or A class fighter without power.
because he is a former world champion and one of the most talented "boxers" out there. considering its not good to rush a 20 year old, i think its a good bout for Canelo without getting in there with someone who could ruin him.
:oh: ......
Why would you wanna see anybody against Paulie?

He'd be the perfect opponent for Canelo right now.
Alvarez needs to get used to fighting people with some lateral movement and slick boxing skills.
Yeah i agree bro,Canelo is gonna need alot of experience with these
type of fighters.

I agree bro,But i wanna see canelo against a decent puncher.But paulie
on canelos resume dont sound bad.But i heard paulie wants a tuneup
before getting another big fight.
Paulie has been beat by every A list boxer he faced. Soon he'll be getting beat by B listers (Juan Diaz) and then C listers (Matthew Hatton). I think Alvarez can do better.
