I've noticed a lot of support and interest in the Pac-Marg fight lately, with people claiming Marg is going to win brutally, people selling the fight a lot. When it was made most fans agreed it was BS.
At the same time there are people who lick fighters balls - defending them to the death even when they're clearly crap/boring/chicken-****/on steroids/on cocaine/beat women/kill their families etc.
Finally there's a thread on here today saying "stop ppv piracy". Wtf is that, other than someone trying to promote sales.
Essentially what I'm saying is - I think NSB is full of people being paid to promote certain boxers/fights. Anyone agree and if so how bad u think it is? Like 50% promotion 50% real fans? I mean most people have jobs, boxing fans prob workout more than your average joe... who has the time to post on here so much apart from people on a bankroll??
I don't think that there are a bunch of paid industry guys on here to be fair. I just think that there are reasons to support certain PPV events, especially if you are a fan of boxing in general. I like watching boxing, I watch it every weekend if it is on TV and when people quit supporting it financially, it stops being on TV.
Sure Margs doesn't deserve a big payday and sure the catchweight thing is BS but I think this fight will bring big excitement in the main event for the first time since the Cotto-Pac fight. Pac is an exciting fighter regardless if you hate him or not and Margs will be his toughest challenge to date and he is a fighter till the death- this is all a recipe for great action.
I agree, perfect example is Cung Le. I'm convinced he's getting payed for his efforts, some people have too much time on their hands.
i just don't see someone getting paid to be an idiot and continually embarrass themself.
Good point, but in the case of maybe 75% of Pac fans, I think they are more likely young Pino's being real. Its the first time they've been able to put so much pride in any one person, they are going nuts with it. I wish they would take it down a level or two. I feel most of them give Pac a bad name and cause other people to turn against him, which isn't right. He's a very good champion. we should all praise him for thrilling us the way he does. Say no to pactardism.
interesting point, forums are essentially networking tools to get messages across to hundreds of people from the comfort of your home.
I guess it be silly for people not to promote stuff on here as its so easy and effective.
This is no different to whats goin on in the 'real' world so I'm all for it. All this keeps the great sport alive so i think its good :boxing:
