After mayweather,s last two fights i,ve come to the conclusion that his skills are on the decline due to getting hit by a counterpunching marquez and a older plotting mosley dam near knocking him out... Every great fighter sooner or later has shown to be vulnerable at some time in there career and mainly on the end... Just my o but, if floyd fight every year or two he will certainly be on the receiving end of a ass whooping depending on the threat but, it will happen sooner or later... No hate... Opinions are welcome...

agreed. he has clearly declined, which is why it is laughable to sggest he is waiting Pac out.

he had a rubber match with josie to keep up the skill
it's unfortunate that Floyd's mounting legal problems pose a distraction/roadblock to his confidence as a fighter and his availability for future fights
No slippage at all....He's just become a master....he does not waste energy at all anymore...He adapts to every style and does what it takes to win....He used great movement against Hatton and picked him apart....Floyd looks faster to me now as a welter than when he first got to the division...he looked slow against Mitchell and Judah'
Yeah, Floyd's skills have diminished but just a bit, his reflexes are still tip top which is all he relly relies on in the first place. His balance and reflexes are his game, his strategy and punching output has gone down but just enough for other guys to make him look human in the ring. I feel that too many guys buy into the Mayweather hype and show him too much respect and thus, try to play his game. The trick to having a chance against Mayweather is to pressure him and not give him a chance to study what you do. Pac can feint and throw punches with hardly any time in between the two. With his style, he could beat Mayweather but it would have to be a close fight I think. Actually, until recently, I thought Mayweather would really win in my heart of hearts but I think he really is intimidated by Pacquiao and feel he would not perform the same in the ring if he and Pac fought now. I know one thing for sure, if Pac hurts Mayweather, Money is going down and Pac would really be trying to hurt Mayweather too. He felt sorry for Cotto because he liked him but I think we would see the nastiest, most viscous Manny Pacquiao ever in there against Mayweather......an all out war, one which I don't think Mayweather wants.
I think everyone knows that he,s slowed down some but just how much??? Fans will probably never know until he fights someone who can truly challenge his greatness...
Difficult to say he is declining, he probably won 23 rounds out of 24 against JMM and Mosley. He looked rust though but I want to see him against a volume puncher like Williams before I decide if he has decline.
People should start making a better distinction between skills and talent.
Floyd's talent might be regressing not his skills.
The fact that he got hit a few more times than normal should be chalked up to his opposition being clever HOFers and not because he's slipping. That's some sh!t a fanboy would say. Act like Mayweather has better opp. on his record than JMM and Mosley.
LMAO
the guy loses ONE round in 24 rounds against the pound for pound #2 and #3 guys (ranked that way at the time Floyd fought them) and all of a sudden he's on the decline....
funny stuff bro!
floyd got hit bout 4 flush times in both fight combined and both went 12 rounds..yea hes really slipping
and they dont see that same point of view i dont know whats wrong with them lmao
hmmmmm----let me see----shane won less rounds than zab and oscar did against floyd-----jmm won how many rounds again when he fought floyd? abd landed a total of 12% of his total shots against a guy who took nearly 2 years off---and what's so funny about shane hitting floyd and rocking him a little bit, is that many of you people use it as the only form of light when arguing against floyd----as if floyd has never been hit before----floyd is out of his prime, i agree, but not because of his so called diminishing skills, coz they have surely not lost any steam, just evolved into something different, and still very effective, he is the most skilled fighter in history imo, and manny will be another useless victim of his, no worries---
his layoffs only make him stronger---yes, he may get hit here and there, but it's nothing he hasn't felt before----he has been hit and rocked before and not only shook it off easily, but dominated right afterwards-----right afterwards---don't forget---
Floyd's foot speed has declined but his hand speed is still quite the same. I think it's his ring IQ that has improved considerably and that's why he's beating all these guys. As great as his ring IQ was when he was at 135 and 140, it's even better now. That's what most of the haters don't see. A lesser fighter would have been knocked out by Mosley in the 2nd of their fight, but Floyd used his body to clinch and tire Mosley before he could be knocked out.
why because roach said it? lmao floyd foot speed hasnt gone anywhere he just been more stationary in his last 2 fights. he was fighting guys that didnt need him to move too much. marquez. and he was comming forward at mosley so he didnt need to be moving on his feet alot. just like when he fought judah he didnt use his feet but when he fought boldimier and oscar he moved alot more. i swear NSB and the majority of these so called boxing fans are like the brood. yall dont even have an opinion jsut share a collective thought .
and yeah he got hit by marquez who landed what less than 10% of his shots on floyd and marquez is a future legend himself. but yet floyd skills are diminishing lmaoooo. i mean a right hand here and there over the course of 12 rounds and floyd skills diminishing. and shane mosley lands 2 hard shots early on then gets his ass whooped and shut out for 10 rounds. the same shane mosley who knocked out iron chin margirito mayorga with 1 punch in his last fights but lands flush on floyd who was dazed for few seconds but floyd skills are gone lmaoooooooooooooo. you guys are funny
how was floyd damn near knocked out cold? he didnt even fall or stumble he was dazed for a few seconds and came back strong. damn i know its floyd and the hate but be real dude was nowhere near that hurt nowhere near on the floor i mean he didnt even get a 8 count lol like be serious
Floyd haters (don't think I've ever used that word before) annoy me. I'm sorry, but the man is clearly ****ing awesome at boxing. I don't like him, he has definitely avoided some top contenders, but his skills are unparalleled. If you don't rate Floyd, you're probably an idiot.
(The same applies for Pacquiao - he's also an incredible fighter and anyone who denies that is probably an idiot too)
