Gets a little old hearing how great Manny Pacquiao and Floyed Mayweather are. And how bad the heavy weight division is. When really there are likely 100 or more boxers in the world who would beat them. The top 10 boxers are most likely heavy weights.
Jesus christ, just look at the top 10 at heavyweight and you have your answer.
A 6'0 175 pound isn't likely at all going to beat a 6'6 245 pound guy.
Are you new to boxing, just out of curiosity? They have weight classes for a reason bro. You're not going to see any light heavyweights fighting heavyweights, unless they slowly move up in weight and become heavyweights themselves. So this list of "who would beat who" is basically the top 10 of the heavyweight division.
I don't understand why you're so against pound 4 pound. Historically speaking, most of the great fighters don't come from heavyweights, they are welterweights, middleweights, etc. Heavyweights are just big, rarely do we ever see REALLY REALLY good heavyweights like Ali, Louis, etc.
I am not new to boxing, I have been watching for 20 years.
I agree the list would be made mostly of heavyweights. Maybe some under the division but not many.
I don't mind p4p lists, but if your going to make a list of who the best boxers are if they were all the same weight. Why can't you make a list of the best boxers at their real weight?
I don't see your problem with a list of the best boxers fighting at their real weight.
Dont be so sure about your BIG Boys...
Flyweights Pancho Villa and Jimmy Wilde use to KTFO fighters 20 to 30lbs heavier.
Floyd and Pac with their extremely fast footwork are written down to Run ang get a UD againts fighters like Sam Peter or Valuev?

You must be specific what you want trying to say. Pac and May are pound for pound best fighter today but it doesn't mean they beat Wlad or others at heavywwights. The same goes to Wlad won't beat them if they fight at welterweight. That is why they made this p4p list meaning imaginary if they are in the same height, weight and body size who is the best among them. So basically, you will look to other attributtes to compare to the others like, chin, heart, stamina, speed, footwork, ring generalship, counterpunching ability, experience in championship level, will, determation, wins against fellow great fighters and many more.
?????? are you drunk or high??? which one is it? lol
other then Wlad and Vitali it is no other Heavyweight Boxer that comes close to being in the Current Top 10
tomasz adamek. ring top 5 rated in 3 weight classes over the last couple years. you might want to consider knowing what you're talking about
In football there are many different positions though. You wouldn't take a 180 pound WR and stack him up with a 260 pound MLB and say who's better.
Boxing has weight divisions, man. Pacquiao is the best fighter at the world, who is currently a 147 pound fighter. He wouldn't fight a 7 foot 300+ pound Valuev that doesn't mean Valuev is the better fighter.
Why am I wasting my time explaining this shiit?
That's what ruined Steamin Willie Beamen's shoulder. Willie ain't meant to be tackling 250lb muthafukas
Everyone is missing the point... he just means who would win in straight up fights. Like who are the ten boxers in the world who would be left standing...?
It's got to be Wlad, Vitali, Adamek, Haye then a bunch of other big guys. Maybe a few LHWs could hang as well because the cruiser division isn't that strong.
Yes that is what I mean. Who are the best boxers in reality?

bounce bounce bounce
whos the top in your opinion? I cant think of any beside Wlad, who desevere a ranking at one of the p4p lists, which were created for fighters in lower weightclasses..........................
you cant let a rabbit fight a lion:dead: all nature
I don't know what my list is right now. Maybe in a couple days I will post my list. By the sounds of it though no one would even care. Everyone seems to be in love with their imaginary p4p list. So maybe I will just leave it that way. I have been called retarded and a drunk enough for one day.

Tomasz Adamek is close to top 10, if not top 10...however, his heavyweight achievements aren't the main reason he deserves it.
This is retarded. This is like saying Nate Robinson is the best basketball player because no one could beat him 1 on 1. Or its like Saying Eric Gange is the best baseball player of all time cause in his prime no one could even dream of hitting him
I think p4p lists are ok. But a who can beat who list is more realistic. Floyed and Manny are not really the two best fighters in the world. They are not even top 10.

p4p = pound for pound...p4p lists are made to pay credit to the lower weightclasses...we should start at the basics... heavies or the heavier divisions should work hard to be at the list

You watch Valuev and Ruiz fight and tell me you're watching the best fighters in the world.
Maybe some cruiser weights and light heavy's would be in the mix. I just think some of the lighter fighters get to much credit. When all time there would be thousands and thousands of boxers who could beat them.
In football there are many different positions though. You wouldn't take a 180 pound WR and stack him up with a 260 pound MLB and say who's better.

True there are 180 pound foot ball players. And I think some boxers under 200 pounds would do well also if there were no weight classes.
The point is though when you are watching heavy weight boxing you are watching the best fighters. Meanwhile guys like Manny and Floyed would have a hard time keeping a job in boxing. Unless they wanted to be trainers or cut men.
I'd take a retired John Scully to tear house on lots of Mfk'ers.
Shrink him down to 154 somehow and he'd tear off craniums.
