Chisora offered world title shot by Klitscko

According to the Mail (who you cant trust) Wladimir Klitscko's team have offered the Del Boy Derek Chisora a world title shot for Dec 11. British and Commonwealth heavyweight champ Dereck Chisora has been offered a world title shot by Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko's adviser Shelley Finkel made the proposal to Chisora's promoter Frank Warren and they are mulling it over. IBF and WBO king Klitschko has pencilled in December 11 for his next title defence and wants to fight the Londoner, who retained his British title on Saturday by stopping Sam Sexton in nine rounds, in Germany. Warren is considering Klitschko's offer and says he will do what is best for Chisora.

A dream for Chisora to challenge for a world title, and to face the best heavyweight of the era. Although not ready, he and Warren should accept the offer, as it supplies a big payday with good exposure. There really isn't many options for Wlad right now. Where are the likes of Solis and Povetkin?

OK I have another idea. Tell Wlad to get the boxing registry, scan through the names and find a real striking nickname, I dunno, like The German Stallion or something. A real Joe Public figure gets to fight for the HW Championship of the World. What do you think?

I think it is a lose-lose fight for Klitschko. When he beats Chisora it won't mean much because Chisora was obviously not ready and shouldn't have been fighting for a title yet and if Chisora pulls the huge upset Klitschko would have lost to a green fighter. Sad there is no one else in the division.

Wlad should fight Chisora and do it in England too. Now that should step right on Haye's favorite toe. It would definitely be more interesting in the UK, but if I were Chisora I'd call Marvis Frazier for advice.

Warren will surely accept this. It's a fast track to a big pay day for both.; It's far from certain Chisora will become a contender at World Level. A shot like this might not come again and the reward if Chisora can pull it off (which he can't) is massive. Frank would also be getting one over on Hayemaker Promotions. Frank will feed Chisora to the dogs. Wlad will damn near kill him. But the money will be worth it to Frank and even Derek.

Wlad needs to go into cryo freeze for a couple of years. Then they can unthaw him to wreak havoc on the HW scene. I'd be interested in a Chisora matchup. I imagine that Wlad's next opponent will get a 1 million dollar payday. If you pass this up, there's no guarantee that you'll get this opportunity again. I say, take the shot and give your all. If you lose, you still win in a financial sense. If you win, then the division has a new superstar and the possibilities are endless... Take da shot, Derick...

Maybe in a year he'll be ready to be competative with the big boys, but for now I think he's not quite ready! Although is is a really good opportunity. I cant decide if I think he should take it or not to be honest.

I agree Chisora should get more experiance. It is obvious the Klitschko need challengers in a pathetic division but rushing into a title shot to satify them is a poor career move.
