Manny and Freddie better be prepared for the Margarito that did this to Miguel Cotto...

Vs Shane Mosley:
Classic case of styles make fights.
Tony appeared visibly drawn coming into the fight.
How can any fighter be prepared mentally after being found with loaded gloves?
That Shane Mosley is not the Shane Mosley we seen last week.
Shane Mosley is physically stronger than Margarito... did you know that Sugar can push 315 on the bench, for reps?
Vs Roberto Garcia:
It was a UD win for Tony.
He had just come off a long layoff, for good reason.
He more than likely wanted to shake off some ring rust and put rounds in.
Don't gauge Margarito on said performances. Expect the Tornado that ripped through Cintron and Cotto, especially at 150lbs. And lets not forget, Manny's still a little guy. Tony's bigger than Oscar, Manny's smaller than Cotto; the size disparity is gonna be unlike anything we've seen recently.
I find it a bit ironic that his last opponents name is the same as his new trainer... Anyway, hope both come in 100% prepared and ready to scrap!!!
FLomos will gauge Margarito on his last two fights though. Fighters have up and down periods and fights in their careers. Well they should gauge Hatton in his last fight before he lost to Pac then.
Margarito is up for Pac. Pac has been on top of his game for how long nowm, and he is due a bad performance, otherwise he would be a machine. He can have a bad performance and still win though pac.
I hear ya, and I believe Margarito is due another great performance. The last time he lost his title was against P Williams. And after that he ripped through Cintron and Cotto. He was hungry and eager to prove his worth then. He's got to be hungrier than ever right now, given that his career has become a big question mark. He's got something to prove. That kind of motivation is very powerful, not to mention he's already bringing huge physical advantages into the fight. There are weight classes for a reason. Just because they'll both make the weight limit a day before the fight does not make them the same size. The size in this fight will be the big factor.

The thing is son, Manny isnt Miguel and slow and get hit alot...
Manny is fast and has power...this is going to be Shane Mosley beat down 2.0
I highly doubt that, Son.
Margarito wasn't there mentally for the Shane fight. Don't let that performance cloud your minds.

I swear Margarito gets beatdown even worse, The fight looks great on paper but Margarito is done, All he has is the name, When you look at the big picture now you would know Margarito has zero chance unless Pacquiao decides to stand in front of him and allow Margarito free shots.
the hatred people have against margs is clouding their minds.margs will beat the **** out of pac. did people for get that margs is a master at cutting off the ring, did people forget that margs throws in combos, did people for get that margs loves throwing the classic mexican uppercut, did people forget margs loves throwing a jab before coming in,did people for get that margs is pressure fighter, their so many advangtes margs has over pac. let me guess pac has speed right and footwork right that may not be enough to beat margs. i said it once i will say it again people are underestimating margs.
but didnt you listen to all these experts speed kills :argue: :lol1:
I have a gut feeling about this one. Manny's recent string of amazing wins and Tony's cheating incident are clouding everyone's minds about how this fight will play out. I see it for what it is, and what I see may be disastrous for Manny. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Manny fan, and I'd love to see him do it again in an all out classic. But I have a bad feeling about this one.
Good post, this fight will not be like Oscar, Ricky, Cotto or Clottey. Tony's coming in with A LOT to prove and a major size advantage and the chin to take Manny's power (especially at 150lbs). That combination of factors could spell disaster for the PacMan.

margarito has more output than manny has ever had and the stamina to go with it. margaritos world record still stands, its in the guiness book of world records , most punches thrown in a fight, 1500or something ridiculous, pac is fast but that isnt any garuntee he will win at all, jmm was slow and small and look at what happened there, he outconnected pac not in one fight but in both fights! it was very un-manny -like for him to pass up a 3rd encounter, very telling.pac has terrible defense he got all busted up by cotto (broken ear and ear drum) and clottey, (looked all busted up in the face while clottey looked unscathed.pac will get hit in this fight, alot. his best bet is if hes able to hurt margs and im not so sure hell be able to.he doesnt have mosleys size or ko power. he doesnt have the same power at welter he had in the lower weights plus this is jr middle! the weight will not help manny but it will help margs.this fight will be a war, if they are underestimating margs it will prove a tremendous mistake even if manny is at his best this is not a good fight for him .margs actually has more advantages than pac does.this isnt clottey or cotto that will back up,and let manny have his way. this is a guy that will literally die before giving up or losing and thats something manny hasnt faced since jmm and its something manny nor his team can train or prepare for. this fight will be ugly and it reeks of upset only way manny dominates is if margs is totally shot and thats quite a gamble to take.:sombrero:

Nahhh, I dont agree with your point regarding the Mosley fight. Let me explain to you what happened.
A: Margarito's obviously wasn't there after the infamous incident.
B: Because he walked through Cotto's punches he mistakenly though that he might be able to do the same with Mosley and was over confident in that regard but learned the hard way.
C: Maybe maybe that coupled with the fact that Cotto might took something away from him that Margarito wont ever get back. His fight with Garcia let me thinking even more about that.
See it this way and come back to me.
Look at what a short Cotto was able to do. Pac has shown to be much more durable and to have MUCH better stamina than Cotto. Pac's output is what were comparing it to. Pac can do with his feet what PWilliams did with his reach. Cotto also had success with foot movement vs Margarito.margarito has more output than manny has ever had and the stamina to go with it. margaritos world record still stands, its in the guiness book of world records , most punches thrown in a fight, 1500or something ridiculous, pac is fast but that isnt any garuntee he will win at all, jmm was slow and small and look at what happened there, he outconnected pac not in one fight but in both fights! it was very un-manny -like for him to pass up a 3rd encounter, very telling.pac has terrible defense he got all busted up by cotto (broken ear and ear drum) and clottey, (looked all busted up in the face while clottey looked unscathed.pac will get hit in this fight, alot. his best bet is if hes able to hurt margs and im not so sure hell be able to.he doesnt have mosleys size or ko power. he doesnt have the same power at welter he had in the lower weights plus this is jr middle! the weight will not help manny but it will help margs.this fight will be a war, if they are underestimating margs it will prove a tremendous mistake even if manny is at his best this is not a good fight for him .margs actually has more advantages than pac does.this isnt clottey or cotto that will back up,and let manny have his way. this is a guy that will literally die before giving up or losing and thats something manny hasnt faced since jmm and its something manny nor his team can train or prepare for. this fight will be ugly and it reeks of upset only way manny dominates is if margs is totally shot and thats quite a gamble to take.:sombrero:
Cotto had a negligible size advantage, why do people keep saying this, they came into the ring practically the same size.
I agree, Cotto was slightly bigger, but nothing significant. Tony will be huge compared to Manny. Tony towered over Cotto who is about a half inch taller than Manny. And that fight was at 147. Manny is up against it in this fight. If he blitzes Tony out of there easily, I would be surprised. But I don't see that happening; I see a brutal back and forth fight with both fighters taking heavy damage. Manny is worlds better than Tony, but the size difference and Tony's chin make this fight competitive.
It's funny that both are Cotto's and Clottey's daddies but yet Margarito is suppose to get his ass whooped more than those 2. Pathetic.
Inorite...
Hope so, Last November size advantage of Cotto was worthless against Pacquiao, Plus the speed that kills....
Cotto had a negligible size advantage, why do people keep saying this, they came into the ring practically the same size.
And he basically won every round, it was pretty much a shutout. It was what it was, a comeback fight at 154lbs after a long layoff. It's not like he was expected to go in there and have an all out shootout war like in the Cotto fight. Not after the loss he suffered against Shane. Manny better be prepared for the Margarito that brutally chopped down Miguel Cotto.
So you're saying he's going back to the plaster.
