First of all, a lot of you guys could be making a lot of money if you started gambling on boxing. Some of you clearly know your ****.
I've made hundreds in the last few months betting on the fights. It just takes patience
But we all need help now and then, and it always helps to talk about your picks. Maybe you'll be talked out of a bet and be saved, or maybe you'll be talked into a bet and win some money.
So more of you f*ckers need to start betting on boxing so we can all start makin some god damn money.
that is all.
PS: bookmaker.com is an excellent site if your lookin to get started
November is loaded with good fights. That should be fun. I'll be putting my bets in here then. I don't make a lot of money. At most I'll start out with 200 in my account.
5Dimes lets you do it Kball. I'm going to use that site for boxing more because of the variety. I was like a kid in a candy shop. They have round spreads like point spreads in football. At least for Mora/Mosley they did.
I'm putting more money back in in November when some good fights roll around. And I'm not getting dicked over by the NFL this time lol. Man I had some tough breaks in week 2.
haha sik sik. and Yea the NFL has been rough on us all this year so far.
The bookies are smart guys, it's very hard to make decent money on sports especially combat sports because they are so unpredictable.
You can probably make some chump change here and there but that's probably it.
They are smart, but parlaying is the way.
On the Pac/Marg PPV in a month you can parlay Pac, Jones, Pavlik all winning outright and I bet the odds will be pretty juicy.
Now the under card fights are a given. Easy picks. Pac has a slight chance to lose. Very slight imo. So I wouldn't have a hard time putting a lot of money on that.

Just not true. The bookies job is to get people to bet 50% on each option. They could care less who will actually wins the fight, because if they get 50% of the money on each option they automatically win.
They take the money from the other side to pay off their debts, and take all the left overs as profit.
I've made a lot of money betting on boxing. If your smart, and only place the bets your confident about, you can make a lot of good money betting on boxing and on sports.
People have made FORTUNES gambling on sports. granted, Plenty more People have also lost fortunes

I don't find good odds hard to come by, but really you need to be patient and pick your spots.
Boxing is too complicated to really bet all the time (atleast long term) and make money but if you are smart about it it is a nice way to line your pockets.
True knowledge pays off, but if betting on an underdog you can get away with limited knowledge (sometimes) because the risk is well worth the reward, if you are betting on the favorite you better sure as hell know everything possible about the situation, 10 to win a grand sounds like a sucker bet but if there is only one really possible outcome in the fight it can be a free grand.
I find that the people on here that should be thinking about wagering most likely are, but a ot of people should not be tricked into better on here since a lot don't look at both sides (or even contemplate"what if I am wrong").
yea inexperiences can be disastrous.
If you're just starting out betting, Read through the things said in this thread and take notes. The things being said are truly priceless and will help tremendously

I do bet quite a bet had a big bet coming up until Dirrell pulled out of the super six but the saying "betting is a tax on stupidity" is so true you can do all the homework ya want but sport is sport your taking a risk everytime
If I lived in Vegas I'd be in deep ****. I have to jump through hoops to gamble on sports right now. In Vegas I could drive to a sportsbook and punch a ticket. I wouldn't be able to do it.
haha I've thought about that MANY MANY MANY times.
I am up a ****LOAD from boxing betting tho, so mayb I'd be a rich man. Unlikely tho.
The fact that u can Parlay is HUGE. What site do you use? Parlaying boxing is cake. 4-1 favorites just DONT lose in boxing like they do in every other sport.
I bet on fights and sports pretty much every weekend about 500. My advice would be keep your bet sizes consistent and never bet on a person favored by more than -300.
Yea. I'd also recommend picking 2 or 3 bets that your VERY confident in, instead of placing like like 5 or 6 bets.
The more bets I place the more i tend to just break even and not make any progress.
The more careful I am, the more money i end up making

I've been seriously thinking about betting at the sports books with real money.
You get to drink for free too!

Doesn't Western Union Charge a lot, like 10 bucks or so every time you deposit?
I think that was the reason I just said fukk it because I was getting it for free with a cc and I'd get bonus credits as well.
Then again if you put in 100 or so, they'd probably give you some bonus credit anyways now and again.
I just did Western Union because my site stopped using NetSpend. That **** was 11 dollars. I didn't expect that.
Boxing is actually not difficult to bet on. You just have to bet a lot to win a lot because it's hard to find juicy odds. And you have to understand the system where you can bet on both guys to cushion your bet.
I switched gambling sites and this one lets me parlay boxing. I almost nutted on my keyboard. I won 100 on a ridiculously (to me) easy parlay Soto to win, Ortiz to win, and Mora +9 in rounds on a decision. I'll be taking advantage of this in the future.
Of course then I pissed it all away on football the next day.
I agree man, but I am not condoning gambling for everyone, it is not for fools.
If you're not ready to study and analyze the sport, styles, and its participants save your money. There is money to be made if you actually know what you're doing.
My problem is that my favorite is parlaying and sometimes saying fukc it and betting on international fights.
I got robbed by the faggot ass judges from the Aydin-Dan fight of a $500 win when I bet on Dan winning. I would've gotten some good money if I would've bet more money on Miguel Vazquez to win by decision alone since I was sure he was going to do to Kim what he did, but I got greedy and bet on Dawson too.
I've stopped betting after that, I will study my ass off to get it going again in November, maybe a warm up fight in between.
These posters would be a lot more knowledgeable about the sport if they became gamblers. That's for damn sure.
but you gotta bet on the underdog to make money right?
I personally never bet on favorites, but the surest way of making money is betting on the winner.
