From Margarito getting the highest profile fight possible, to what seems to be the fall of Mayweather, to the exit/decline of many great stars of our generation (Morales, Hopkins, Barrera, Mosley, DLH, Vargas, etc), to the talented but mouthing 140lb division, to the lack of Heavyweight flare.
Let relive the moments that show WHY many (if not all of us) love this sport and feel it's the best sport in the world. Why it is the ultimate test of a man's dedication, heart, preparation, confidence, skill and gifts.
I will start...
Ward-Gatti I, Round 9...OMG...
Erik Morales was one arrogant SOB. LOL!
I can't believe he fought Manny southpaw in the 12th round. He was trying to prove a point that he was not only better than Manny but he could also dominate Manny.
Props to Manny for not letting him dominate though. Erik won but he didn't dominate.
Boxing rocks!
that first fight was awesome , I love the round were Pac's mouthpiece flew off BUT they continued to fight till the end of the round ...

Thought I'd see more responses. I guess most here prefer to argue of 45/55 splits.
Inorite?
When I saw this thread, I was very surprised at the lack of posts. Maybe it's been done before and they don't feel like reposting? Either way, thanks for letting me share my love...
For me, the best fight I seen was at the peak of my boxing love while I was training and fighting: Fernando Vargas vs. Tito Trinidad, we all knew what was going to happen but Vargas surprised the sh*t out of us with how hard he made it for Tito.
Other great fights I will never forget: Castillo/Corrales I, Marquez/Vasquez I-III, Toney/Jirov rounds 10-12, JCC Sr./Oscar DLH I (the magnitude of that at the time was just awesome), The entering and exiting of Prince Nazeem was awesome to see, The Morales/Barrera battles, The sheer athletisism and talent that was Roy Jones Jr. in his peak - Seriously, OMFG. Carbajal/Gonzalez - At that time, no other little men went that crazy on eachother.
....and about a million others I can honestly say I will never see anything like again. I love this sport with every drop of my blood and will die before I say MMA is better. The sweet science is just that. It's a shame that I missed some other greats being so young as they were coming up. I'm just glad I didn't miss them all.
