I would actually say Tyson. My schoolmates and friends don't know who Ali is for the most part, but they all know who Tyson is.

None of us were around then, but back when Dempsey was fighting boxing was the undisputed king of sports besides soccer, so I would assume guys then were talked about more than Floyd or Manny today.
