I keep hearing people around me say that floyd doesnt want to face manny because of his southpaw style to which I disagree, I think its because of mannys style and endurance and not his right stance.
Then the people that I talk to argue that he has done a horrible job fighting southpaws and I point out that he beat zab judah and demarcus corley pretty soundly and then they bring up the fact that he fought some southpaw in earlie career and didnt do too good of a job
Now I am wondering if this is true???? Does mayweather do bad againts southpaws or is this just another lingering bs that fans hear and always mention it even though it no longer holds water???
watch his fights with judah and corley. he clearly hates southpaws cause most of them almost KO him!
He doesn't have money for the sparring partners cause he can't even pay his taxes!
jajajajajajaja!
Thats crazy talk!!!
Nick Diaz who few years ago being stuck as a mid-level mma guy was able to finance couple of boxers for his training camp to help him perpare for gomi before the last pride organization.
Now that being said, if an mma fighter at a mid level who gets paid peanuts compare to a boxer at any level can afford some wicked sparring partners why cant floyd mayweather who is one of the biggest name in boxing be able to provide a training camp with sparring partners that mimick whatever the hell style he has hard time dealing with??
Shate blows my mind man!!! Dude was like the richest guy behind tiger woods!!! I mean damn they could just pay these guys with free mayweather pad work or something and a free room to live for the time being
Floyd doesn't like southpaws. his own father exposed him!
jajajajajaja!
But shouldent boxers undefeated or not regardless, know how to fight all type of opponents???
I mean these guys get paid sh!t load of money and therefore they can use the money to bring in guys with akward style from cuba or places that have powerful promising talent that can emulate that greatness in the sparring regardless of style, stance southpaw or not.
So that being said why is his father at this late stage of his career never prepped him properly to deal with a southpaw or style???
how is bein hit once by the straight left a vulnerability?floyd is so good that him bein hit once is a vulnerability to his haters where as manny has been hit plenty of times by clottey and cotto
floyd's only been hit once with a left? :fest30: delusional poster of the day award!
And on the flip side, Floyd has an extreme vulnerability to the straight left, and Manny has an all time great one.
Add to that, the angles, speed and power that Manny possesses,
and it spells tons of trouble for the shoulder roll. If Corley and Judah can catch Floyd with it, Pacquaio most definitely will.

floyd wouldn't shoulder roll with pac. he doesn't need to. floyd would fight pac much like he fought JMM. pacs left will be hard for him to land because he has a height & reach disadvantage. he also isn't as slick or tricky as a zab judah.
also.....pac can be wild and extremely predictable as the fight goes on.
i don't see pac beating mayweather. I see him getting outboxed badly after 3 rounds.....
You're a fvcking idiot. Period, point blank, end of story.
Floyd got KO d by southpaw heroin addict Spadafora
Best southpaw ever Pacquiao would put him to sleep in 2 rounds MAX
What the hell!!!???
He didnt get KOed!! He just fell down after the sparring, that doesnt mean the man his KOed jesus man in the two rounds also???
No. pac's extreme vulnerability to the straight right hand, Floyd has an all time great one, and Floyd's excellent infighting ability cancels out any significant advantage of manny's stance.
If you were watching the Zab Judah fight clearly, Floyd was already countering the southpaw jab with a left hook over the top start from round 1. Judah's left hand was gone by the 5th round, Floyd was blocking that wit his shoulder roll.
Floyd has pumped his jab more ever since coming out of retirement, and Morales was able to control and counter manny's right hook with the jab.
Floyd is great at subtly moving his lead foot to the left, the direction an orthy should circle when fighting a lefty, to do his pull-counter. If slow reflexes and no right hand Cotto was able to step back and counter manny's left with his right, then what will Mayweather do?

remember what his own father said "i dont wan't my son fighting southpaws!" this is the guy that taught him that style and he knows it wasn't designed to fight southpaws. not sure how you can be a great fighter and only fight orthodox fighters but that's a different topic.
corley and judah both rocked him a bunch of times cause his defense is average when he faces southpaws. he can't shoulder roll straight lefts so he tries to be aggressive and take the play away from them cause he knows he can't rely on his great defense. this leads to him landing more punches but also getting hit a lot more in return. obviously against pacquiao this would end up getting him killed so he went on vacation.
EXPOSEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
"I dont want my son to fight southpaws"
Pappy doesnt let lil Floyd to fight southpawssss
bwahahahahahahahahahahaha
Floyd Sr: "One thing about it, I don’t want anybody having an edge over my son because that’s my son, but I never have liked my son fighting southpaws. It’s not that he can’t beat them, because he beat all of them, his record reflects that, but I don’t like my son fighting southpaws. My son fought two southpaws that I know of. He fought one early in his career, pretty close before he got the title and he got cut pretty bad over the eye. Then when he fought Chop Chop Corley, Chop Chop Corley caught him off guard and hit him a couple of times in one fight. Like I said, it’s not that he can’t win because he has won, but I will just say a lot of guys power still come from a different angle and a different size and he’s not a great big guy. There’s no question in my mind that I got the strategy to train my son to offset a lot of this stuff, but I just don’t like him fighting southpaws because stuff comes from a different angle.
Even with Pacquiao, he’s a much shorter guy and we are not worried about no Martinez because Pacquiao is the one doing all of the damage and he’s the one knocking out these big men.”
Not that it matters since...
“It does not matter what stance Pacquiao fights, my son will never fight him”.

I think that's misleading because Judah,Corley and Mitchell came in weighing more then Floyd. Floyds reach would show up in a bad way against pacquiao because he'd be so cautious of pacquiao he'd keep him on the end of his jab all night until manny Jumps in then he times him and catches manny with the straight right like he did with hatton who had to leap in to catch floyd.
