You can easily make an argument for John. the argument gets easier when you try and make it for marquez.

Marquez was robbed, and Chris John is not a bum.

Amen brother I want this fight to happen bad but i know it most likely wont John will develop an allergy to fighting darker fighters than him or Bob Arum will fk it up or some other lame ass sh*t Wouldn't surprise me in the least. I've been waiting for John to sack up and fight some serious talent since he got that gift over my boy Juan Manuel years ago, and thus far as close as he's come is beating Rocky "LOL" Juarez.

Gamboa's explosive style is the perfect foil for John's cutesy counterpunching routine. So I wouldn't worry about that much if I were you. If Marquez had a more aggressive style, he would've flattened John easily. But his slower paced counterpunching style, coupled with the fact that he wasn't fighting a smart fight played right into John's hands. Gamboa will light John's ass up. It was a lackluster effort on both sides, but especially for Marquez, who was fouling a lot and had points taken off. Not signature Marquez, that's for sure.

It was a very close fight, i think i had John by a round or something. He has an awkward style and it was a weird fight choice for Marquez. But Chris John in his prime was a good fighter and it's not like he dominated Marquez or anything.

I watched that fight and thought John won. It was a very close fight though. If you go into someones back yard, you had better dominate him if you want a decision. I thought Marquez underestimated John and paid the price.
