So is Brandon Rios going to fight Miguel Acosta next?

A cut... OK... I remember it was something that happened to Rios that made him pull out. I was excited for that fight when I first it was going to happen. I agree I still would like to see it. Yeah, there was a long line of "come on!" moments around that time. Jorge Arce ended up getting cut in sparring too and had to cancel the Morel fight. Wanted to see that one too :sad2:

Rios ended up getting cut in sparring too close to the fight. I was looking forward to that fight wouldn't mind seeing it still. A cut... OK... Acosta is a good LW. I would like to see that fight as well. Or maybe have the Antillon fight first? I know they were signed to fight but I think Rios pulled out due to an injury. I still think it is a good fight. Rios ended up getting cut in sparring too close to the fight. I was looking forward to that fight wouldn't mind seeing it still.

Why wouldn't Soto and Rios be made? I think that would make more sense right now given his recent performance against Peterson. Eh I am not sure Soto would step up at this stage. He wasn't to eager to fight Peterson. I think he is content in fighting lesser opponents and wait for a money fights against Morales, Barrera, or JMM. Maybe if Rios gets the WBA title. The chance of unifying might give Soto the reward he wants. Since moving to 135 Soto hasn't really looked good.

Acosta is going to be a very, very tough fight for Rios. Stylistically Acosta should be able to beat him unless, Rios can consistently cut off the ring and connect to slow him down. Antillon brings the same amount of pressure, but couldn't win rounds and eventually got stopped, if Rios can beat Acosta, he is the real deal.
