I think the two points was fair. Salido was still able to fight, so it shouldn't have been a DQ. Yeah, that's why the doctor was called in immediately. Anyways, whatever may have happened would've been Gamboa's fault, that was a dumb thing to do. He even had a chance to score a knockout had he not done that.

Would of looked bad if both fights ended in DQ, anyway people get away with it more than you think.Namely, Margarito-Cotto and Gomez-Sanchez are good examples

No it doesn't. Proof= Rios vs. Peterson. Two different cases. Peterson was DQ'd because he'd already had 2 points deducted. 3rd would-be deduction is typically suppose to be a DQ. Would've been horrible if Gamboa would've been DQ'd, but it could've happened. As it happened, Gamboa may well have cost himself a KO victory.

exactly...... i like gamboa but if cortez could dq soto in the Francisco Lorenzo fight...i think he could have dq gamboa.......gamboa saw he was basically down gamboa even put his hands down and relaxed.............then hit salido.
