This is ridiculous and boxing has to do something about this.. This dude Rios is almost a JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT fighting against a guy that's not even a junior welterweight. That's why he's able to take the punches from Peterson and dish out even more in return. Boxing has to change these rules.
I bet 1.45M on Peterson tonight. Rios came in at the weight limit. If he rehydrates up then kudos to his team. If you make the weight on the scales then it's a fair fight. IMHO.
I hope that is play money.
You should learn your weights because 165 is close to SUPER Middleweight. Junior Middleweight is 154. Middleweight is 160. Obviously you don't watch too much boxing.
You should learn boxing.
He's saying Junior Middleweights come in on fight night AT around 165 if not more, meaning that's how much they gain come fight night.
lol How could you not know this?
Not only that but Mayweather didn't even stick to the contracted weight in his fight with Marquez and came in heavy. Marquez is a career featherweight and didn't even get stopped. Some fighters are built to last, some aren't. Don't be such a female about it :lol1:
i missed the fight night weights live but saw it on the download.
rios was at 151, peterson at 139, damn!
no wonder rios was just eating ap's punches like nothing. :lol1:
he should stick 1 weight class and dominate it...
imo he should stay at 160 and mayb even challenge a 154 pounder for a couple of fights then move up to 168....
I think that he could bulk up and make 168...it would be interesting to see how he does with guys his size and how his skills match up with guys that share similar physical attributes...
160 Williams would not be the top guy
168 he'd be massacred
Not even sure he'd be ruler at 154 with Dzinziruk, Angulo, Kirkland
Yeah because Rios looks so huge compared to Peterson:bottle::bottle::bottle:

Not because of his weight but because of his dimensions. But I dont wanna argue about Paul anymore with you lets just agree to disagree on that. Pauls weight is fine I just wanna see him fight guys that have a similar hight and reach that he has so thats a diffrent conversation.
Fair enough....
Did you watch the Michigan game?
Robinson is an animal.
WOW.
You 2 are some of the main guys who criticize Paul.

Boxers gain weight after the weigh in oh my god!!!! This has never happened before!!!
Plenty of LWs come in at around 150 on FN just like plenty of WWs come in at 160+ on FN.
He made the weight and can fight there, maybe Peterson should have moved down since he didn't put on much weight at all.
WOW.

Well the reason they changed it was because fighters were still trying to squeeze into the weight on the day of the fight (which was the day of the weigh in) this mean they couldn't rehydrate/ eat properly and led to lots of injuries, danger etc.
So you couldn't change it to the way it used to be
That's the danger of the 24 hour weigh in. Limiting weight someone can put on like the IBF is fukcing stupid.
Take away the 24 hour weigh in, it'd be better and a lot of fighters would be forced to move up if it happened.
Ugh they changed the rule because to many boxers were dying from fighting dehydrated when they had the weigh in the day of the fight. Boxers lives are more important to me than the sanctity of a spot so Im fine with the way things are now.
he aint close to a JrMW,
JrMW guys usual come in 165lbs>
