If Mosley and Mayweather would have ever fought at 135 Mosley would have looked even worst. Mosley just doesn't have the ring IQ to beat Mayweather, mayweather was just as fast had a better jab, better ring control, better footwork, better stamina...It really seems like most opinions on this site are clouded by their personal hate for a Boxer.
Mosley was faster but his technique was worse. I do not believe Shane ever really wanted to fight Floyd until recently. Shane knew if he did not get Floyd early then that was his a$$. Even Nazeem knew it. Shane was trying to set up that right hand in round 1. Did you see that look on his face after round 4. Shane knew it was over. If they were younger, it would be the same thing.
Mosley never had the ring IQ to be competitve for Floyd. Mosley was lucky he fought Floyd when he did. Everyone wants to convinently forget that a younger Mayweather was more offensive minded. A young Floyd beats Mosley worse than he did in May.
Good post, I still don't understand why some good posters are in red.
Mayweather has CLEARLY slowed down. Compare his athleticism against Judah to the recent Floyd.
like ive said 135 lbs could have been his best weight but doesnt mean he is past his prime now. Manny's best division i believe is jr welterweight but it doesnt mean his past his prime because we all can tell he is not as fast fighting in lower weights. same goes with mayweather.
I can't forget that second round and I can't forget how much better Mosley was in his younger days. Do you really think that if that had been a prime Mosley his chances of finishing Mayweather right then and there wouldn't at least increase. Floyd stans can't get his man juice out of their belly buttons I swear.
Mayweather could have given us a better fight though. fighting Mosley in 2007 would have been a lot better than 2010 version of Mosley. and let say 2004 version of Oscar. and now he has another chance to give us another fight against manny but i dont see it happening.
i dont believe you guys are saying Mayweathers peak was in 135 lbs. that dude is on his peak now. its just 135 was a weaker competition unlike in 147. or maybe 147 is not really Floyds natural weight but to say he is not in his prime anymore is stupid though.
nice sig......................
This is why people are so dammm frusterated by Mayweather.... in each generation you get a classic...ali frazeri...leoanrd duran..Leonard hearns..mclellan benn. hearns-hagler, dlh-mosley..... and we should have Mayweather -pacman...but....gayweather..refuses to give us the chance of this....
roids does not give you heart... They both got in there and fought their ass off, if he had roids in this fight, then dammm, but the fight will remember as a great one......
I was wondering myself why Mosley didn't do much effort to follow up when he rocked Floyd. That was too early to think he would have lost his gas. I just watched how Shane's fight ended when he beat Margarito. That was not too long ago. Just something I couldn't understand.
Not even sure Peak Mayweather beats that DLH.....they both came to fight that night...both a lot faster and stronger and offensive minded 10X more than when they fought Mayweather...Mayweathr caught both of them well past their peak.
Honestly man.. i don't like Mayweather but, to be fair, his prime was at 135 lbs

don't forget roided up :D
i'm looking at mayweather-baldomir and no way mosley beats that mayweather he was bloody brilliant!
Peak mosley destroys peak Mayweather...
I'd probably favor a prime Mosley to beat this version of Mayweather. However, Mayweather wasn't prime for that fight either. Closer to it than Mosley...but not prime.
