In wake of his next fight posssibly being in Detroit. I was talking it up wiTh some of his diehards about Khan.(wHO ARE ALSO knowledgeable boxing fans). So I go back watch somethings in his fights.
My eyes have been open.
He is the one. The next.
The Boxing Lineage of Star Studs:
Ali
Leonard
Tyson
Roy
Floyd-Manny
Amir Khan
He has everything skill and talent wise. His chin is obviously a question mark though and I think he may be a little too easy to hit.
I rewatched the Paulie fight and Paulies left hook landed at will. Khan was even bruised up from it.
Another weakness I caught was how uncomfortable he looked when Paulie tried to pressure him. Albeit Paulie doing that is a joke.
The kid needs work and if Roach harnesses those skills...Khan will be a force. THEE Force actually.
And if his fights land a home in Michigan where the Arab-Muslim population is the highest in the United States then I REALLY would have no problem cheering him on. Although I know he will still have some fights in the UK.
But first before all that..he has to beat Maidana. A guy who will test both weaknesses..his chin and his ability to deal with pressure. If he handles that its smooth sailing because he is more skilled and talented than Bradley and Alexander. Not to mention the size.
King Khan didnt impress me. He looked fast but thats pretty much it.
Khan is no way shape form or fashion ready for Floyd Joy Mayweather.
And Ortiz is?
^^
Floyd will still duck Khan with an excuse that Khan is pakistani and hindustan valley has no tv.
Pakyo cut the crap kid. Mayweather stumps a mudhole through Khan.
I was not impressed with Khan's win over Judah. Judah reminded me of Oscar vs pacquiao. Both Oscar and Judah didn't do anything except collect a paycheck. Now I hear Khan is looking for a match with Eric Morales. Khan needs to step up and fight live opponents, not old has beens. He is becoming another Andre Berto fighting cherry picked punching bags.
He's constantly calling out Bradley.
i think they should hold off on that for now. khan has at least a year of prep before hes even halfway ready for that. well, unless, floyd really did get old overnight and he loses to vic.
I agree. Give this another year, let Floyd fight Ortiz and hopefully Pacquiao, and let Khan get a fight or two at 147 if the Bradley fight doesn't happen. Khan is improving with every fight, winter of 2012 Mayweather-Khan is a true superfight.
They are already talking up the Mayweather fight on SKY at the moment.

I still stand by what I posted almost a year ago in this Thread...well besides Alexander of course lol, Alexander has went to sh!t since then, but Bradley is still his MAJOR HURDLE at 140 and he is also that fighter that truly can ELEVATE HIM to that next level...not because Bradley is a big Draw or anything, but because Bradley would actually TRULY BE HIS BIGGEST WIN OF HIS CAREER and the winner of that fight would have pretty much all of the belts in that 140 division, regardless of what people think with the whole "Bradley IS DUCKING" and all that...once he gets his situation straighten out with Gray Shaw, Bradley will be right back in the mix at 140 and 147, it would be foolish to try and leave him out
do you think bradley/khan should be in vegas?
The dude has talent, nobody will deny that and he very well could be the most SKILLED fighter in his division but that alone won't be enough
you can have all those damn skills but if that Chin is as weak as it looked against Prescott and all it takes is one big shot to drop you, then he won't go that Far, as he can say all he want about how he is over the Prescott KO and how "he just caught him with a great shot" we won't know that until he gets hits like that again and PROVE that his Chin is not that WEAK
I think he can out-box Maidana but I do think Bradley, Alexander and Ortiz will be much tougher for him
