This is destined to be a war, for those of you who saw Katsidis vs Mitchell you know Kats has proved.
Please vote in the poll, tell who wins and why.
Heres my Prediction
Jmm is my fav fighter and his is a counter puncher and Katsidis is a super pressure puncher. Now in a match up a good counter puncher always beats a good pressure fighter but JMM is getting near that time that age can spoil him.
Marquez fought a pressure fight (Juan diaz) and k.o.'d him.
Katsidis fought a counter puncher (Casamayor) and got k.o.'d.
Now if Marquez was still young, this would be easy to judge for him. But with him getting hurt by a pillow punching Juan Diaz, shows him being war torn and age is creeping upon him.
Now Katsidis has changed his skills since that defeat, isn't as reckless but with that style its impossible not to get hit. The question here is can he take Dinamita's uppercuts.
so I give this a 50/50 but still leaning towards Marquez unless age catches up with him.
Props 24/7 you got Ellie Seckbach shouting u out. Now steal his access and take over.
thats a real good comparision (kosta-hatton) i coudl definitly see it happening, but it might be a bit to early, marquez looked good in late july against diaz, this fight is only a few months later
I don't know, Katsidis is RELENTLESS his style could really give Marquez major problems and make Marquez look his age...BUT Marquez can handle pressure fighters that like to charge coming forward, I could also see JMM picking him off and countering him all night
when I think of this fight I think of Hatton vs Tszyu for some reason
JMM. Katsidis was already KO'd by a guy who Marquez KO'd. The thruth is that these are two different classes of fighter.
Katsidis was winning the fight before he got stopped though. JMM was even and some say losing before he got the stoppage.
I got JMM because I have the Escobedo fight fresh in my head, where Katsidis won, but got hit tons in the process.
Despite what people say JMM hasn't shown his age anywhere except his face. He put up his career high average of 80 punches per round 2 fights ago. He took 300 punches from a heavier Mayweather and was still going forward until the end. He hurt Diaz a few times last fight too.
The man is still a beast and it'll take a very smart approach from Katisidis to beat him.
Katsidis is better since he fought Diaz and casa. He will try to smother jmm he just better watch out for jmm uppercuts. Jmm should be the fav but katsidis will have a chance based on his workfare and style.
Yeah, i fear the right hand that mitchell was able to land on Kats, if he can land that on Kats, he may be introuble, but he definitly has the heart to take them.
If Diaz can hurt Marquez, Kats sure can
I maintain this - Casamayor and Diaz (first fight) were the catalysts of Marquez's decline. Diaz was already shot well before the second fight, and Marquez couldn't even finish him that time. So how is he going to stop the Aussie wrecking machine who doesn't put the brakes on for anybody?
Truth of the matter is, all Marquez did was barely scrape past Katsidis' leftovers. :wnk1:
Im a huge Marquez fan, but this will not be a cakewalk like some think it will be. Take the first fight with Diaz only give Diaz power. That is what we have here.

Katsidis isnt even in Marquez' class. marquez deserves an easy fight though so im not mad. therell be action, both will prob be bloody, but unless marquez gets way old overnight, Katsidis is nothing but an addition to a Marquez highlight reel.
Kats will stop him or die trying - and he'll still look like a warrior in the case of the latter.
I see we got another big Kats fan!! hell yeah, he wil die trying, the man has so much desire to win
You know how Marquez got buckled by Diaz in their first fight in the corner? Katsidis is going to be the first to stop Marquez. :boxing:
Katsidis can't let Marquez get any counter punching opportunities! And if he can do that, then he wins!
This is my concern.
