Floyd has been compared to fighters from the past and we debate back and forth on how he would have competed against those fighters. Here's a new question. How would you compare Floyd's work ethic in the gym compared to past greats like Duran, Leonard, Benitez, Hearns and other former welterweights"
Does anyone have information on how these guys above trained? I know some fighters back then would let themselves get way out of shape, you had fighters drinking and doing drugs between fights and then going back to training camp to get back in shape. It seems Floyd is always in shape, doesn't drink or smoke and is very committed when he trains.
training means shit when you refuse to actually fight
calling people out means shit when you refuse to actually fight
being very talented means shit when you refuse to actually fight
Floyd's a waste, fuck him
I reckon so. We all know Floyd trains hard but I'm sure there's many other fighters who train just as hard or even harder. There's probably many journeymen that train extremely hard.
Ya but can they hit the mitts while looking straight into the camera? And do they have an entourage to yell "DEDICATION" after he yells "HARD WORK"?
Didn't think so...
Don't buy that,,, please.
His trains his jaw muscle all the time. Then goes out there and rant against asian people.
He has weird ethics when it comes to training. When most would train during the day. Floyd runs up the mountains of nevada after midnight before fights. His gym work outs are all in the afternoon not early in the morning like all the other greats in the welterweights old and new. Floyd would probably beat other great ones, he has the advantage of ranting and he lives in that altitude.
Alot of fighters train year round except maybe couple weeks after a fight they get a break. Floyd just eats junk food all year long, how often is he in the ring training every day?
