If it wasn't for us, you wouldn't exist.
Who invented computers? You dumb ****.
dude your whole EE vs US B.S. is really starting to annoy me. there is no EE vs US rivarly. frist of all Eastern Europoe is not a country its a region USSR days are we won get over it.:owned:
Here is my viewpoint.
I agree the Amerians have had the best fighters over the generations, without doubt.
The U.S. have always had a couple key advantages in doing so though.
1. Population, with such a huge country comes a huge selection of people in comparison to the European countries (if we remember that Europe is not a country..... ahem:?!:)
2. Culture, as already mentioned by Americans on this thread there society is different to European and particularly our British society. It's culturally acceptable to celebrate success and to enjoy your riches stateside. Us Brits tend to be more modest, our culture does not like a show off. This makes its way into our sports. The yanks are in it to win it. It's all about being number one, why be 2nd if you can be 1st! Again us Brits are all about sportsmanship and it's the taking part that counts, not over celebrating your success and remaining modest even if you do reach the top.(Thats why Hatton is so well liked, we lovve a working class hero)
I beleive the American culture breeds champions and they have never really had any competition.
However there can be drawbacks too. A driven culture that always wants to win is good until your not winning. Would you agree the last golden era of American boxing was the 80's? So whats changed?
The end of the cold war is whats changed. Previously it was superpower versus countries. Now since USSR has gone the Russians have more freedom. A lot of ex Russian areas have become contries and there people the freedom to compete in sports of all sorts, not just boxing. Russia itself has changed, there boxers can ove to Europe and fight on the world scene. It a superpower that can rival the americans for inhabitats and now it's getting the chance to flex it's muscle.
Remember how I said the U.S. will be fine when there winning but not if your losing?
Look at the heavyweights. Last great American HW was Tyson. It's getting on a bit. America is not producing even any prospects right? thats because when your brought up believing winning is all and you don't win, you lose interest. It loses it's appeal. Their is no incentive. No one is inspired. Their are of course other reasons for the decline in the American heavyweight and thats mainly the $ that can be made in other popular American sports.
It's a shame when America loses interest in any weight class because their culture and excesses bring about the best fights, the glamour and all thats great about boxing.
the Americans don't bum up their fighters too much they just treat their sportsman differently to how we treat ours. What we may see as excess they see as success. What we may see as success, they may see as 2nd best!
God I talk ****e when I've had a smoke!
Because we have high cultural self esteem. And rightly so. It was our money that gave you unrestricted web access. So be thankful and stfu.
If it wasn't for us, you wouldn't exist.
Who invented computers? You dumb ****.
I think America expects winners in every aspect of sport. Does that mean they have high expectations? Hell yes! What's wrong with that?
Absolutely, precisely mothaphukin' correct. We can argue and point fingers at each other like a bunch of kids in a rowdy family, but if you want to bring it from outside...we expect to win...and usually do...
Why do you think?
Because we have high cultural self esteem. And rightly so. It was our money that gave you unrestricted web access. So be thankful and stfu.
good lord, do you people think Britain, Australia, Germany or anywhere else doesnt overrate their fighters?
HBO is an American-run company, theyre MEANT to cater to the American audience...and are you people telling me that we as boxing fans shouldnt get excited about fighters?
give me a break, every country will hype up their fighters, and they should...boxing isnt supposed to be about putting down guys that are incredibly talented.
its like you guys would prefer for commentary to put down every fighter, as opposed to hearing good things.
Americans don't overrate their fighters
Blacks overrate their fighters.
90% of the **** talk comes from this race flapping their lips.
Your intelligent...:wtf1:
America is the least nationalistic big boxing nation, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Floyd Mayweather is America's best fighter right now and a lot of Americans hate him.
Why do some individuals choose to group other individuals and make a collective opinion and judgement on the group and individuals in that group based upon the political borders they were born or reside in?
Please tell me where my statement was wrong.
Obviously you are going to put the americans in the top 30 because you are american, go to europe and that top 30 would be much diffirent.
but i forgot in usa its MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY and if you dont agree with me your a terrorist and a liberal hippy!
Cause we have an overwhelming amount of champions, head to head have dominated every nation, and throughout history have the most legendary fighters(most top 30 P4P all time lists would have about 22 or so Americans on the list). Face it, when it's America vs the world it just shows how great you truly are. Even when we don't overrate a fighter you guys still say we did. No one said Jacobs was going to be a P4P fighter, yet you guys act like we said he was going to be one.
Daamn you got that american flag shoved up your ass its coming thru your mouth.
Guess in your eyes America invented everything and is the best! hoo-ra semper fi go nascar nevar forget 9/11 eagle crying! AMERICA **** YA!
Everyone cheers their fighters on. To all saying that all those HW would > Wlad/Vitali, I dont think so, Wlad is way too far advances both mentally and technique wise to all of those fighters save maybe prime Tyson. Only Power punchers that are prime in their careers can KO Wlad.
Why do you think?
You should enjoy watching more boxing than being so worried where a boxer comes from and what support they generate. I see is the same everywhere
