Mayweather has never fought a consistent Boxer, i just realized this, now im not talking about a consistent fighter!, like a Ricky Hatton, Jesus Chavez, Castillo, im talking about a consistent Boxer!!!, like a Terry Norris, like a Ray Leonard, fighters who are going to take it to you, fighters who are fast combination punchers who are going to put punches together when you shell up and are going to be consistently aggressive throughout the fight, but whom are fighting out of a Boxing stance, instead of a brawling/unorthodox type of stance, now i know both these fighters are retired, and was bigger in Norris's case, but do you think these type of styles could break Mayweather's style?
Could Mayweather be defensive and get enough done offensively to repel a fighter like that, im not sure he could, i dont think he could be defensive and not let it effect his offense, now i know Mayweather's offense comes from his defense, but how much transition from offense to defense are you going to get against quick combination punchers like this?
I guess Mosley could fall into that category, but Mosley is too old to be as consistent as he was, needs to be.
Your a clown son if you think Judah in anyway shape or form can be described as an aggressive combination puncher. Judah is a counter puncher first a foremost, thats just common sense, i know you desperately wont to make him out to be something else, but you cant, they are not that type of fighter, i mean, what kinda person suggest Marquez is an aggressive combination puncher Lol
Mosley could be described as that kinda fighter, although Mosley was almost 40, thats just a fact.
You are on crack, sir. Why is it so hard for you haters to accept Floyd is the best boxer on the planet and an ATG? What does gotta do to show you this? Give the dude credit. Damn.
a lot of you don't understand boxing at all I see that already
if some of the best Trainers in Boxing can't come up with a Strategy to beat Mayweather...I seriously doubt a bunch of guys on a Forum can
the fact that a lot of people REFUSE to give Mayweather any credit for what he do because the hate for him BLINDS them from the truth, but Mayweather is great at taking away your strength, throwing a bunch of wild punches is not the way to beat Mayweather, that sh*t probably works against Flat Footed Fighters who can't move out of the way of punches but not against a guy as quick and as elusive as Mayweather...to beat Mayweather you have to BOX WITH HIM! First thing you need is a GOOD and consistent Jab at least to have a chance against him.
unfortunately in todays ERA of Boxing it is not many SKILLED BOXERS, he is the most SKILLED as they come, realistically the fighters people always say Mayweather "Ducked" (Margarito, Cotto), as far as style is concerned...neither of those guys would have a f*ckin chance, either now or back then
I dont like the "Money" persona, but its prolly true. real talk
well i tend to agree on the never fought an all time great in their prime alright de la Hoya was past his best but he good wins over a number of very good fighters,
Well the clue is in term, consistent!, here are more clues from the opening post
fighters who are going to take it to you
consistently aggressive throughout the fight
Could Mayweather be defensive and get enough done offensively to repel a fighter like that
A general Boxing stance, no need to get specific so you can try and shoe horn Judah into being something he is not, which is a defensive counter puncher.
Why do you think Judah is always waiting? cause he is a counter puncher, someone like Norris would get off first, not sit a stalk, of coarse there are times when a fighter has to adapt, like Norris did in the Brown rematch, where boxed and moved, but we are talking about a fighters bread a butter, which in Norris's case, is an aggressive combo puncher who is going get off first and look to put it on you, Judah's bread and butter is waiting, looking for counters, completely different fighter.
As i said, Mayweather aint never fought one like that, cause that aint what Judah is, if that were his primary style, then yeah, its not.
Whats a consistant boxer again kid? Its definetly not a pressure fighter, right? Cus it damn sure sounds like one.. And i agree with the dudes that say your style changes when whats natural isnt effective.. At least it should, thats adaptability. Floyd walkd down Judah and Mosley both power boxers who landed good shots, and both of whom caught thorough ass whoopings afterwards.. whats your point again?

**** you moron i was just being sarcastic with the judges not being appreciative of slickness and you brought up whitaker's name like it has something to do with what i'm trying to say.
It does but you're too stupid to realize :lol1:
:lol1:
You had a different OSIRIS quote before on your sig right? Or am I trippin?
Nah, just cut the old one down. Now that we've solidified that it's Margarito for the paper title, just wanted to point out how some fans have their priorities straight :lol1:
Maybe it's time you use your brain. Please point out where I compared the two? Are you really that stupid?

that's disrespectful...don't even compare raheem's fate with whitaker. raheem is not even half of whitaker's slickness. maybe it's about time you guys should remove raheem off your slick black fighters list.

Yeah, just ask Pernell Whitaker.

What do you consider Deigo Corralles?
Dont know, he is a bit like Castillo i guess, bit of a hybrid between an slugger and a Boxer, but more of a slugger than an Boxer, although Corrales could! box, but that was when he learned to use his height more (Casamayor 2), however that came after his loss to Mayweather, that said, Corrales was not particularly quick either
Corrales also did not have many wrinkles to his game, his footwork was not particularly good either, he was kinda easy to read.
Nope, but its like i said, fighters adapt difference strategies for different opponents but people consider their style to be something that they do on a more consistent basis, which is usually what they are best at, in Mayweather's case, its to be defensive.
What do you consider Deigo Corralles?
Cause i had been responding to the Leonard-Mayweather thread and i started to realize something, that Mayweather has never really faced a fighter with that kind of style, and it would be interesting cause i dont think he would cope well with someone like that, obviously i did not anticipate little girls like you and Horus getting pissy, or maybe i did Lol, just goes to show what you guys are really like eh?
LOOOL, just to show what sort of poster you are my little friend. Because i seem to remember you once telling me that you would'nt give Floyd credit even if he had beaten both Cotto and Margarito.
So this thread is another one of your trolling on Floyd threads.
Damn Was Leonard consistently aggressive throughout this fight?
Or waiting to counter and explode?
Nope, but its like i said, fighters adapt difference strategies for different opponents but people consider their style to be something that they do on a more consistent basis, which is usually what they are best at, in Mayweather's case, its to be defensive.
What is Zab doing wrong in this fight to not meet your characterization of a consistent boxer
Shall i keep posting video's?
What for, make yourself look more of a fool? Lol
The second video is precisely why Judah is not what your describing, he is leaving a big gap between him and the opponent and closing distance slowly and not letting his hands go much.
