my nephew who is 5 years old 4''0 56lbs took a free flush shot to my chin with these gloves. And made me see a big star. Ive never taken a shot like that in my life. Well ive never been in any fight in my life either.
Either im Amir Khan when it comes to my chin or my nephew is the second coming of Mike Tyson

When I was 13 I knocked out a 21 year old cold.
Never under estimate a kid.
Many kids already have a good portion of their natural mature power in their early teens. Plenty enough to knock someone out.
it was prolly G Dog.
Aren't you the one who makes the "Street Fighting Tip of the Day" threads? lol.
OMFG . lol.

Conditioning will help you by keeping your overall nervous system active and the endurance will also help your recovery, so you don't get smacked and get k.o.'d due to being worn out. I also seen someone mention keeping your chin down... That's probably one of the best pieces of advice for someone with or without a good chin. I knocked out people in the amateurs because they didn't keep their chins down and we wore head gear.
Howver, I am not sure you can "build" a chin. You may just have to elevate every other piece of your overall boxing so that it's never a problem.
Keeping your chin down is a huge benefit when it comes to taking shots. One of my favorite exercises in the gym that helped me with that was taking a tennis ball and tucking it under my chin while I do my bag and mitt work. If you can get to the point where you can throw all your punches, move around and not drop the tennis ball from under your chin that alone will be a huge help for a novice.
I read a lot of good stuff here and a lot of it is really good advice. Obviously neck strength is a major thing for less necksnapping and whiplash - That will keep your equilibrium in balance so you don't fall over every time you get hit good, on the chin or not. getting hit flush to the jaw is no joke, doesn't need a whole lot of power to hurt you. Or maybe your nephew was wearing Margarito gloves.

but I think a lot of it is just either you have one or your don't
Or maybe my nephew is the next Mike Tyson :alcoholic
HAHAHA, you got hurt by a 5 year old.
The kid can hit lol He hit hard before but then I helped him with technique and said to bend his knees keep his hands close to the body and explode using his body movement more ... which made his punch that much harder
Let me remind everyone he hit me with a straight right to the jaw Mayweather-Hatton esque
