I just don't understand, why they hype James Toney to be something he's not? One of the all times greats? No he ain't Once he were in better shape (not weighing almost 90lbs more then his real weightclass, where he also were in bad shape). James is old, knows nothing of mma and is way out of shape. There's no reason for Randy to call this a great win, cause James has no speed or reflexes. A faster fighter would have a chance of moving away, but I still think that we'd have the same outcome.

OK, so in 5 years when HBO stops showing boxing, I can bump this thread and say that "boxing isnt going anywhere". Hey man, 10-15 years ago, boxing was front page news. Now boxing is back page news. 5 years from now, boxing will be: No News. Its a natural progression, and if you guys were intelligent enough to observe PPV rates in terms of *comparison* you'd see we are losing to MMA. Showtime now shows more MMA than boxing. There will come a time when HBO and Showtime stop showing boxing altogether. Boxing was much bigger in USA 10 years ago. It has shrunk. What makes you so sure it wont shrink any further? So why are you here?

Do you know how much attention that would bring to our sport? No you moron, I'd be embarrassed if a champion, say Floyd Mayweather, actually took a boxing match against an MMA fighter. That's the difference between our sports. In theirs, you can be a dominant, all-time-great, and belt holder with only 5 wins. In boxing, you're barely considered an up-and-coming prospect with 5 wins. So why again should a champion stoop down to MMA's level for a gimmick fight? Exactly, they shouldn't. It's stupid.

In fact, looking at their website, in 2010 there were 20 boxing events, and only 12 MMA events. So will you STFU and stop spewing blatantly false information Chicken Little? Canada doesn't get Showtime though one of their premium movie channels airs Showtime fights (SuperChannel I think it is?)

I watch more baseball than boxing. I love college football and basketball (and my favorite University is Michigan). I don't hate things because they are mainstream. Thats what people just arent getting through thier heads, i was an MMA fight. It like Kobe going to play for the Yankees and never gets a hit, then all the MLB fans will claim MLB is better then NBA?
