First off, congrats to Segura.
I thought he may have let the chance slip away from him in the 5th. But he put in a lot of body work and his pressure and accumulation of punches on the inside wore down Calderon.
I thought Segura didn't look good at the weigh in, if he can stay at 108 a little bit more, Gonzalez-Segura should happen. Gonzalez has talked about moving up and a fight between the two would be savage.
:boxing:
Listen son, El Guatemalteco and myself have been talking about this fight for some time.
Rab drinks XX. :D
Gonzalez is fighting on September 3rd, albeit against unworthy challenger that I assume will be above 105.
He's also fighting on October 24th in Tokyo on the undercard of Nishioka-Munroe. When he fights in Japan on Teiken card, he usually faces quality opponents.
Well thats good news hopefully some low quality stream pop up.
It would be a damn good fight. Gonzalez's chin would sure be checked though if he can take them he wins. My belief is he'll be taking a lot of them because his style plays right into Segura's hands. They'll go to war. Both have a chance to get knocked out should be a great fight.
Don't swag jack shadows, I was the first one to bring up this fight...lol
BTW I know Sombras is somewhere in Mexico, drinking tecante and laughing his ass off.

Gonzalez should definetly fight someone elsem or even fight period before fighting Segura.
Rolling out of bed and fighting Segura is screaming for an ass beating.
Gonzalez needs to be back in the ring and fast not against Segura right off the bat. I thoght about this match up and thread too.

Yeah, that's the key, if Gonzalez can take his power.
I wonder what Calderon will come back as, junior flyweight or flyweight.
Calderon is a small Junior flyweight, let alone flyweight. But, he has been talking about going to Flyweight so maybe...
lol I was about to make this exact same thread. With the same title...
If my boy can take Segura power he could beat him IMO. But, props to Segura for tonight.
