Was totally dominated by Paul Williams, lost a close ugly fight to Bernard...is Winky ever gonna step in the ring again...heard he kept pricing himself outta big fights...he's 39 I believe...is it safe to call it a career for Ronald Wright? Hopefully he took care of his $...
What do you think?
Did he want more or the same amount of $ as Jermain? Can't remember......it was a draw so he had an argument for equal money...
I think he wanted 50/50, but the first fight ended in a draw, Taylor was still The Middleweight Champion, he was going to stay fighting on HBO regardless, and he was the draw, since Winky can't draw for sh!t.
Well he knew fighting Oscar made a lot of money so that's why he wanted the fght.
Everything Oscar did turned to gold.
Yeah, everyone wants to fight Oscar, but what I meant was that he wanted to get paid De La Hoya level money. We all do, but we have to be realistic on how popular we actually are.
I'm pretty sure Winky priced himself out of more than 1 fight due to delusional thinking.

He was done before he fought Williams. He should stay retired.
Don't really care to be honest. Guys who think they are worth more than they are just screw themselves. Angulo may be the next one to follow in Wright's footsteps. It's like the people who say their house is worth $250k when it would only sell for $100k. What you have is only worth what someone will pay for it.
He made like 3 million against Paul Williams.......
Winky is a diva, he seriously thought he should get paid De La Hoya money, even though he had no fans. His delusion prevented the Taylor rematch.

I think it's pretty safe to say he's retired. He never really wanted but a big payday after the Hopkins fight but never got it.
I believ there was a short article a while ago that said he was retired.

Who is his promoter?
I thought the same, several months ago. I would like to see him fight against but imagine at 160 there's nobody. He'd have to either kill himself to make 154 or blow up to 168 and fight Green or Bute or even Miranda. Pavlik is also an option I think isn't he going up to 168? I doubt any 154 pounder would want to go up to 160 to fight even this version of Winky. He's still very dangerous.
