If Floyd fights Sergio Martinez

Floyd coming in at 149-150 and Sergio coming in at 160 would be a huge FOTD type of event and equivalent to RJJ vs Ruiz in terms of accomplishment IMO He'd get mad props from me if he ever did it.

I'd give him props for fighting Martinez I wouldn't give him props for winning the title ( Assuming he won the fight).

The Mayweather/Martinez Championship Fight that many are certain will be announced by Floyd this weekend is reportedly not going to be at a catchweight. I believe this. I would be disappointed if this wouldn't be the case. The only thing more disappointing would be if Floyd does not even announce the fight, which I really really hope would not be the case. Mayweather/Martinez will be the fight of the year and it will put Pacquiao to shame. dude you gotta give us more than this, how are we going to be dissapointed when we've had no reason to believe this going to happen, you need more info to give yourself credibility

mayweather doesn't give a damn about a belt...he'll most likely not even fight for a title...won't pay the sanctioning fees for that joint...so why even fight for it? He won't pay for a title he's already won at a weight class. I don't see why he wouldn't want to pay the 1% or whatever to be officially recognized as a Middleweight champion should he move up that far. That's a pretty big accomplishment.

Besides, when Mayweather fought De La Hoya he came in at 150, so there's no justifiable reason for a catchweight at MW. I don't really understand the wisdom of this statement, given that 150lbs is 10lbs below the MW limit. Regardless, though, I hate catchweights. I'm of the mindset that weight divisions should be acknowledged and not used to gain a sporting edge. And I think this fight - if made - would happen at 154; Floyd couldn't care less about a MW belt.

he won't do the catch weight BULLSH*T, he will just come in at the weight he is most comfortable at which will probably be 150-154

Catch weights for titles shouldn't be allowed period. It s*it's up the history of boxing. But of course the Alphabet Bodies are all too money hungry to actually give a sh*t. We got the freaking WBC that made a diamond belt. What kind of sh*t is that?

at a 155 catchweight for the MW title would you give him props for it or do you think its a b!tch move catchweight titles suck. but hey at least martinez is a worthy opponent.

I won't respect him if he fights at a catchweight of 155, but if he fights Martinez at, at least 158 (preferably no catchweight) I'll respect him for it.
