Cotto vs Margarito HD Highlights (GP)

Outside of Margarito's plasters, the other reason Cotto lost is because the kid does not know how to use angles. Margarito was basically following Cotto all around the ring, at times, running straight at Cotto. Cotto should have used angles and destroyed Margarito like Mosley did and Pacquiao (the master of angles) will do.

Margarito dindnt only beat Cotto, he destroyed him! It does not matter if Cotto wins 50 more belts, Margarito will own him till the day he dies. And the question of whether or not Margarito CHEATED against Cotto will be with him until the day he dies.

This fight was so epic in so many ways and proved that even the less skilled can overcome the most skilled. It makes boxing the premier sport. It still gives me goosebumps and will probably remain my most favorite fight of this era, even though my boy lost...I've never seen Cotto so beaten yet still fighting. Even when he was hurt in the late rounds, he didn't go for clinching or anything, he went and threw punches. I personally think Margarito was not clean in the fight, but Cotto left himself open the whole night with his crouching lean. Even if Margarito was clean, Cotto that night didn't have the right plan of action to win anyways... For Cotto to win, he needs a new gameplan, however that gameplan would require him to change his style and I wonder if he's capable of that, this late in the game

I cannot correct you. You might be right. I just remember the woman saying that the year suspension was a minimum...not the length of the suspension. Perhaps I misinterpreted it, but I took it to mean that until they granted him a license, it was considered revoked. As for what I heard...that was on the stream from Top Rank. I hear ya. Techically it is "revoked" in California since he wan't granted one and can't apply for at least a year - Thus not being able to fight there. And who knows if he gets it then either... In one of my other posts I said that if the fight was not so high profile and if it weren't for 24/7 being there, they may have granted him a temporary probationary license. But they saw the opportunity to make an example for anyone who will try to cheat, since it was on such a huge stage. Just my opinion. Either way - Rep - for not being one of the idiots who starts an argument without being entirely sure.

I believe he was just denied his license but is no longer suspended. If a commission suspends you - You cannot fight anywhere, regardless of different state comission laws. After being denied a license, you cannot re-apply for a minimum of one calendar year of the last hearing. Well that's going to be the case now in EVERY fight that Margarito has. Why would you care of the money?? I want to see the rematch so bad. Would of been better for boxing if Pac/May & Marg/Cotto fought. I agree I would love to see that rematch plaster or not the first fight was great to watch. :boxing:
