Remember the hype for that fight.....Everyone was so pumped for the fight. The 24/7 was amazing, both were unbeaten to. Damn, that fight created so much buzz and excitment.......
Even the weigh in was an event in it's self....lol
You don't wanna be referred to as a black man?
About time you start embracing your true skin color.
And it's about time you join the rest of the KKK on my ignore list (and not just mine btw)... white man.
Mayweather did his thing in that fight but looking at that fight recently Mayweather initiated alot of those clinches that Hatton got warned for. Everytime they got close Mayweather would land quick and tie up in the early rounds. He was the one making it ugly at first because Hatton was coming at him quicker than he expected.
I had casual fans telling me Hatton was going to win a bodyshot KO.
They would interview these casual fans on Skysports news, and when asked who would win, they would think for a couple of seconds, then pull a 2 round knockout out their ass Lol, like Boxing is a lottery, like there is no form guide etc Lol
This is actually the fight that got me into boxing. I must say it was one of the most best fights I've ever seen. Sure Pac's fight was better and everything else. But When I watched this it was the gateway to watching these great fights. This fight is the one that will be cherished in my heart forever. Sorry If I sound corny its just the love I have for this fight :)
There are so many rumours going around on this site about me.
I cannot believe people actually thought I was Jewish or an Indian.
:peeright:
I could have sworn you were ethiopian
He still sold more than Manny. You forgot to add the PPV sales from the UK?
True. There were 1.4 million PPV buys in the UK for the Floyd/Hatton bout. There were only 400,000 for the Pac/Hatton match. When you add up the worldwide numbers Floyd/Hatton did as well as Floyd/Oscar in PPV numbers.
that **** was beautiful, i'm a boxing purist, & the setup of that punch was masterful
I agree. The haters would say that Floyd was running because he was backing up and Hatton was coming after him. However, I think Floyd was like a great fisherman coaxing the fish to the hook.

that checkhook was a thing of beauty//plus it had been awhile since floyd had a ko..so that ko was very fitting..plus rickys head hitting the post was hillarious

And he was setting it up the very second he saw how reckless Hatton was coming in. Just beautiful.
Yup.
The site was tolerable back then.
Every now and again I go back, just to read some of those threads. You gotta laugh at how the place has become lately.
