Or, just maybe, if Floyd didn't bother asking for an OST since he never ever asked for any of his previous opponents before, or, if Floyd accepted the 24 day cut-off date, and more recently, if only Floyd decided not to take a vacation and instead fight Manny. Maybe, just maybe, Floyd and Manny would be fighting in Nov. or might have fought already in March, just maybe.
Rommel357 Why wasn't it ok for floyd to ask for OST? he and his camp believe Manny is on PED's and they wanted testing. They can ask for any stipulation/demand they want there is no law/rule against it. Why does that bother you so much?
Your point is always floyd should just agree with what manny wants. What should Manny agree to?
If manny accepted the January offer then instead of in July they would be fighting now.

Pac ducked May.
May ducked Pac.
1-1
Pactards like to forget the fact that this fight could have taken place in March with everything Pacquiao wanted for Nov.
Floyd's minnions don't need to keep harping on the drug tests, haven't they heard, FM has a NEW set of excuses. This fight is starting to look more like a fantasy than anything else. FM does NOT /never DID wanna' fight this guy. The new excuses include, "my woman-beating trainer could go to jail, I want a 90-10 split and Manny just had sex last month". so if the punk-ass woman-beater (rightfully) goes to jail, what, does FM 'retire' again? Man, it's just TOO much DRAMA with FM. He's willing to leave ALL this money on the table to protect his zero, rather than fight MP. He hasn't said **** for months now, but if AM upsets MP, you gotta' KNOW, he'll be all over the news claiming what HE would've done to MP. If MP trounces AM, then you KNOW, they'll NEVER fight. Don King thinks he can make the fight, how, attaching a set of nuts to FM?
Like I said you can't refute my post so here comes the BS.
Yeah, makes sense, Arum must of known Floyd would go on vacation if Manny called his bluff on the tests.... I mean, for what other reason would Floyd go on vacation right now for?
Wow. Is it that you just don't want to see it or that you hate Mayweather so much the possibility that Arum has played you or that Pac is merely a part of the larger Top Rank puzzle is inconceivable?
You allow yourself to get sucked into the minutiae of the testing/"vacation"/name-calling smokescreen when you refuse to see the bigger picture.
Arum is smart enough to use buzzwords like "legacy", "honour" and "pride" because it plays into Filipino cultural sensibilities. Arum couldn't care less about Pac's legacy. His number one concern is and always has been the long-term viability of Top Rank. Nothing more, nothing less. He will do what is best for Top Rank. If he determines that a Mayweather fight suits Top Rank, then there will be a fight. If not, then no fight.
Boxing promoters have been doing this kind of thing for years. However, a large portion of Pacs fans are newcomers to the sport and do not know this or want to believe it. It is easier to get drawn into childish name-calling and finger pointing than to step back and think about what is really going on.
Mayweather is scared. losing to Manny means his so called undeafeated legacy would be a joke. he avoided Mosley, Cotto and Margarito in 2007. in 2010 he is retiring and taking a vacation because of Manny Pacquiao.
Floyd would probably find another reason to puss out. Believe it.
Fact versus speculation is an impossible debate. No matter what you think of floyd mayweather jr. Manny didn't accept the offer until 7 months after it was on the table.
I'm just wondering how Floyd's activity in the last couples yrs in comparison with Pacquiao, who's been very active in the last couples yrs, will play a part in the fight (if it ever happens). Floyd isn't getting any younger, and Manny is still IMO in the cusp of his prime while Floyd, who still looked really good against Mosley, hasn't had to go full throttle in quite sometime, let alone against another prime opponent at the level of Pacquiao.
Anycase...NFL here we come!!!
if floyd really wants to fight manny to give the fans what they deserved, why did he change his stand from 14 days to 0 days??
Actually PBF original offer was 0 days and after some back and forth PBF offered 14 days. Manny refused the 14 days so PBF went back to his ORIGINAL OFFER of 14 days.
As a PBF fan IMO 0 days or 14 days is cool with me. But I am not the one getting paid to fight so my opinion on the matter means jack sh!t.
NO NO... if the 14 days of january was ok for floyd then why wasnt he ok for the 14 days of july?? whats the difference bet. the 14 days of jan and the 14 days of july??
The difference is floyd said 0 days or nothing after he fought against someone with that stipulation. Frankly, in no other sport or any other fight would there be an expectation that someone would make a better offer after the 1st is refused.
If this is football and you refuse managements 5 yr 49 mil offer would you really expect them to say "ok how about 4 yrs 60 mil"? If Manny offers Tim Bradley 2 mil to fight and he turns it down, would Manny then say"ok tim how about 4 mil"? of course not.
Now you seem to say why didn't floyd just keep the offer at 14 days? I don't know but Why would you expect that? If its ok for top rank to have a 1 week "deadline" for floyd to sign in July, its equally ok for floyd to do something similiarin January. manny had MUCH MORE time to accept 14 days and did so only after it was off the table.
If manny accepted the January offer then instead of in July they would be fighting now.

Nope didn't say that. Notice how you avoid the post. Its simple to me. If 14 days was ok in July it should have been ok in January. Floyd is on vacation I assume because he wants to go rather than fight. Not Manny's at fault at all.

Manny never called his bluff. He initially refused 14 days in January only to accept it after floyd decided to change it to 0 days since manny refused it. if 14 days was fair in July it was fair in January.
