It's odd, he should have won the first fight and lost the second.

Shumenov was touted from early on to win a title in record time as he was taking impressive early steps up in competition and winning. Only problem was when he actually got to his title shot he fought Gabriel Campillo and despite Campillo being lesser known than some of the other names on Shumenov resume (Griffin, Mendoza) he had Shumenov's number. If you watch the fight it is impossible to give it to Shumenov. That's why a guy like Ishe Smith, with no stake in the LW division or that fight (to my knowledge) was on this site penning articles about how bad of a decision it was.
Might be good for his amount of pro experiance he has but many argue he should have lost the decision in that bout with Gabriel Campillo in which he won the title. And I tend to agree with them.
