Yadda Yadda Yadda..........
As we all know, Chad Dawson was upset by Pascal this past weekend, so he's no longer an undefeated fighter. Does that mean he sucks? Was he "overrated"?, "exposed" even? The answwer to all those questions are no!
Thanks to MayweatherJr., nowadays people tend to write a boxer off after his first defeat, one tends to think of Miguel Cotto.
Given, Dawson did not give the type of performance that would earn any new fans. He was laxidasical and unfocused, he (and his team) overlooked his opponent and paid for it...simple.
But does anyone remember Sugar Ray Leonard's first defeat,Lennox Lewis getting Ko'd, losing his "0", how about Roy's first blemish, hell, Pascal's first loss? Does anyone remember what these guys accomplished afterwards?
So while Dawson has suffered his first loss(and title), he hasnt lost his skill, talent, hunger or respect in my book, hopefully what he has gained is perspective and a rude awakening.
As they say in the NFL..."On any given Sunday", well the same mentality applies to boxing, one nite to prove who's better. So hats off to Jean Pascal, enjoy it while you can.

No Hes not shot by any means. He just didnt fight his fight and didnt pull the trigger.
I feel when the rematch takes place he will KO Pascal
So hats off to Jean Pascal, enjoy it while you can.
That's sarcasm, i don't think that a true boxing fan will respect that, Dawson is out of P4P "although i think he should have stayed there" and Pascal will enjoy it longer than you think, there's is no way that Dawson will improve enough to beat Pascal.
You said :Yeah these dudes...........I swear.......... "peeleft:
I'm not impressed... Man up...
I did understood your easy point, you didn't understand mine, my point is that people were saying and are still saying that Pascal is not a good fighter because he lost 1 fight against Froch. So, were you thinking that Pascal was a great fighter after is only defeat or you gave away on him after only 1 defeat...
I wasnt thinking anything of Pascal at the time of his lost to Froch besides "that was a pretty good fight"...But my personal opinion of him has nothing to do with what he's gone on to accomplish at 175.
U guys dont understand english very well, the point of the post is dont write a boxer off just because he loses. All the boxers I listed went on to accomplish great things, not that I predicted it....weirdos, I swear.....

This is why its such a bad loss, I mean Pascal IDC what anyone thinks is a B level fighter.
Dawson should have handled him without too much difficulty but just let an inferior fighter take his title and unbeaten mark without giving it his all.
I hope this loss woke him up and next time Chad shows us what he can really do.
Gotta disagree with you. I consider Cotto's loss to Pacquiao,a bad loss. Chad was pretty much being out hustled. Come round 11 and Dawson puts the peddle to the floor, gets results(had Pascal looking like he was ready for bed),gets butted, gets a loss for it. There are a couple questions that will get answered in the rematch, imo a bad loss has no doubts except if the loser is going to retire and things of that nature.
SO, WHEN PASCAL LOST TO FROCH YOU HONESTLY SAID, RIGHT AFTER THE FIGHT, THAT PASCAL WOULD STILL BE A LHW CHAMPION THAT WOULD BEAT A # 6 P4P !!! i will look for some posts about that fight and how people saw Pascal after his only defeat...

Funny how some Flomos claim Ricky Hatton is a bum when Pacquiao fought him for his second lost. Now when Pascal lose, you guys are protecting him. Hypocrites?
losing is one thing, and is not on its own an embarressing thing.
Dawson looked horrendous though, and didnt look like he even wanted to try to win at multiple points. Pascal was sitting there, gassed, with his hands at his waist right in front of him...what did he do? light jab, and back up.
geez...it would have been better for him to try his best and actually attempt to win in a KO loss. 'getting caught' is something that happens in boxing, even to the best. 'pussing out' against a mediocre fighter is something that a great fighter only does only when theyre shot and at the end of their career.
And there is no hate against Pascal ? :lame:

Well Im charging it to dawson overlooking his opponent. I think cloud himself takes to many shots, while it being an interesting fight I dont think Cloud can hang with Dawson. But as pascal showed anything can happen once you get in that ring.
Well let's hope your rite..I for one think if Pascal fights Dawson again he loses but if Dawson fights Cloud I'm going with Cloud.Even tho Dawson is more skilled Cloud IMO has the killer instinct.I got Cloud by late rd KO..
True. Dawson wasn't in the right mindset wheter it was because of overlooking/financial turmoil he wasn't himself. Plain and simple. Pascal did his thing, but as I said before Dawson poops on Pascal in the rematch.
Moreover, NSB has been populated by the stupidest posters. People make the most outragest comments here without research. Exposed? Really?Watch a fight or two before commenting on a fighter. At least you can get a basis for your argument. Real fans of the sport can spot (expose) a fake.
Later.
Church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
U can count on that. During fight week he was talking about everyone except Pascal:Hopkins, Bute, the super 6 dudes, Cloud, Johnson, now Im hearing Haye....lol...No wonder he lost! Not only is he gonna win the rematch he's gonna clean up whoever is at 175 now and whoever moves up. As soon as he made his move they stopped the fight, I hope he lets that gash heal propperly tho.

wow..was it just me or did he have Pascal ready to go before the headbutt occured...yeah what a way to puss out...youre right
I seriously doubt that Pascal was ready to go, he looked the same(totally gassed) for most the fight.
Dawson had him hurt and exhausted in front of him multiple times, and he didnt go after him. hell, he didnt even go all out when Pascal actually was hurt in that 11th round. I dont know what he was doing, letting Pascal back off and not going after him right away.
A more focused Dawson beats Pascal anyday of the week. When the rematch happens you'll find Dawson the victor. Trust.
