How Did Dawson Beat Adamek???

Dawson beat him, his best win and a great one. - Weight drained - Adamek at 175 and 200 is a come forward pressure fighter. He foolishly got with Mcgirt and he ruined him. He wanted Adamek to be a "boxer" and not get hit/take chances. Great fuking stratagy against a guy who has better boxing abilities and is faster with hand and footspeed. Career killer Mcgirt. Had Adamek fought his fight like he did the last 3 rounds and taken the fight to Chad it would have been a different fight.

A lot of circumstances surrounded that fight. For one thing, Adamek made the fight interesting by knocking Dawson down in the late rounds and pressuring him a lot and being effective. No telling how that fight would've turned out just like tonight if it had went longer. And plus Adamek was sick, weight drained, and had Buddy McGirt in his corner.

I HATE TO SAY IT because I like Adamek but you may have a point their Who else has Cunningham lost to Wlodarczy......? Yeah, only two guys that are nearly undefeated. Adamek really seems to suck, lol. He will give most HW's a run for their money even Wlad/Vitali may get tagged up.

adamek is overrated.he's a sloppy boxer that has done fairly decent at heavyweight due to the lack of genuine talent. keep telling yourself that..ask Cunningham how good he is...he would beat Pascal and Froch silly

I'd argue they're better than Dawson. I see nothing special in Dawson at all. Which is why I picked Pascal with no reservations to win tonight from the start. I'd personally like to see Dawson get in there with Arreola. Fat or not, I doubt he'd ever do it. I wouldn't. Bell was mentally shot and quit for no real reason. Cunningham isn't bad but his skill set isn't that developed and he's really chinny. I picked Pascal to win this too.

O'Neil Bell, Steve Cunningham, Jon Banks, Cris Arreola...that's a pretty decent list of wins. Never been impressed by Arreola but those other guys aint bad...I think Chad simply had an off night...Chad fights passive but he looked even more careless tonight...Pascal was the better man tonight

I had Dirrell by a point and Kessler by two, each man winning 7-5 over Carl. You can make the arguement though that Carl has never clearly lost. Karl is a good fighter, but all fighters have nightmares. His are 1 punch KO artists, and countering spoilers. I have said for a long time that Pascal fought like a moron in that fight iff you watch it he did not moe at all and slugged, when his foot speed was much faster. When asked why he did it he laughed and said he wanted to put on a show for UK fans, cost him the fight, but he at times allowe Froch to et free shots in. Unfortunatley I see Abraham knocking Karl out cold soon.

O'Neil Bell, Steve Cunningham, Jon Banks, Cris Arreola...that's a pretty decent list of wins. Adamek is a damn good fighter. So is Dawson. He lost. It happens.

adamek is a fighter who comes forward and has slow hand speed. dawson got off when he wanted to and easily avoided most of adamek's attacks. pascal likes to circle then explode with fast power shots. if you don't pressure someone like that it gives them free range to pick their spots at will. froch beat pascal cause he kept coming forward throwing punches the entire fight and wore pascal down. dawson tried to box pascal for the first 8 rounds or so which did not work. when dawson came forward with purpose and let his hands go pascal had no answers. but too little too late.

Interesting, very good point. Pascal has great speed. It's interesting how Froch seems to be able to work around being the slower man much of the time. Also factor that was a step up fight for Pascal on hostile turf and Froch is just a savage in there.

Adamek was obviously weight drained as evidenced by his subsequent move out of that division. Dawson would stand no chance against Adamek at CW or HW. Thats a fact. Adamek stepped up in weight and down in quality of opposition. Bell and Cunnigham were good fighters but not as good as Dawson. That's a fact. Chris Arreola and Michael Grant? Really?

The better question is "what was Dawson doing tonight"? The Dawson that showed up against Pascal isn't the usual. As much as he lost respect after the fight, the fact is he is a much better fighter then we saw tonight and he's proved that before. Seems like he got too caught up in his own hype and thought he was coming into a walk in the park and played right into Pascal's game plan. We'll find out which Dawson is the real one when the rematch happens.

Because Froch is actually an excellent fighter, regardless of the **** he gets. No won has been able to dominate Froch. In fact, I think most would agree that Froch has never definitively lost, and he's fought some tough, tough bastards.
