Did you watch the post fight interviews?
I know Moreno's rep kept mentioning Yonnhy Perez, Showtime, United States, etc. I think he said that Moreno clearly won the fight as well.
Can you give me a short little rundown of what was said? :boxing:
Man, Moreno is a really good fighter the type of fighter, promoters and managers keep fighters away from. He got lucky with this Super 6 or he'd be assed out.
But style-wise, there's too many variables for him to come out clean. I don't think anyone is on another level in that tourney except maybe Mares. I really like Perez if he gets a Moreno draw. But anything can happen. Arce is a gimme for everyone in the tourney though.
Arum is pissing me off, he's terrible for boxing, he probably convinced Montiel and his team that it wouldn't be a good idea..
Moreno is one of my favorite fighters. So I am very biased towards him. And, in that sense favor him over damn near everybody.
But, you right stylistically Perez could be a problem. Hell Mabuza, Agbeko, and Mares couldn't stop Perez from coming forward. So I doubt Moreno could since he doesn't have the pop of those 3. I think he is more skillful and slicker than those 3 so he would have to be the best form to win that fight.
Mares prove to me in the Perez fight that he is the real deal also. And, is skilled as well he could be a problem as well.
I agree with you 100%. You're right Style wise there are too many variables. And, this is the best, deepest, most talented division in boxing. That is why this tournament is the shit.
Off topic, Miguel Vazquez exposed Kim like I said he would.
And lol @ those comparing Kim to Margarito.. :nonono:
Vazquez is a sweet little fighter man, only thing he's lacking is serious pop, but other than that I see him giving anyone at LW a damn good fight.
Vazquez is a good, crafty fighter.
Kim is a sentimental favorite, what can you do?
So basically Montiel is stopping this from being a great Tourney? I know for a fact that Donaire was gonna join but held off so he could fight Montiel...now your telling me Hasagawa is saying the same thing. I know Nonito is going to either stop or UD Montiel, but hopefully this happens before the Tourney kicks off.
I've always liked Montiel. He's always been a surgeon with his left hand, letting go beautiful hooks and uppercuts to the head and body.
But... He's always been managed carefully, sort of like what Humberto Soto is now. He turned down Michael Domingo and someone else as an opponent to fight Valdez.
I heard from some sources that he wants to rematch Montiel right away, and that if Montiel wasn't going to join, he wouldn't.

TBH, Q, that was a jab back at my boy Mike. :lol1:
True, Moreno likes to dip to the left and come back with the counter. I feel Moreno will be a bit to slick for him and I've also been unimpressed with Vic as of late and at 117, including his performance against Barcelona. Right now based up the style advantages and physical advantages, I'd pick Moreno to decision him.
I also agree with your take on Moreno-Perez. Perez is a better pressure than anyone Moreno's faced and would put him on the defensive a lot. Moreno would have to bring his A game for that one, especially because Moreno doesn't have anything to trouble him in terms of power, he'd have to keep it in the middle of the ring for 3 minutes.
:lol1: I'm just saying... As of right now, I wouldn't completely count out Vic against Moreno.
Moreno would do good, you don't decision Sidorenko, MM, and Cermeno in their hometowns without being a boss.
There's so many style variables in this tourney . Fukc Montiel, Donaire, and especially Arum and Top Rank, they can stay out of the tourney and it would still be the ****.
outta curiosity...what was Hasegawa's excuse for not joining? I never got an explanation on that one.

IMO there is no king in the bantamweight divison. But, I do think Moreno is the best Bantamweight. Too bad Montiel is not going to be in the tournament to really see who is the best. But, this S6 tournament would bring it a step closer.

Even though, Moreno is bigger and better than Mijares, Vic is great at landing his left against southpaw boxers that lay their head on the left.
I might honestly pick Perez over Moreno because he brings the same pressure Cermeno brought, but is better and stronger offensively and if he was walking through Mares' punches like they were nothing, he will be able to do the same to Moreno.
The clash of styles would be better at 118 too. Showtime is the sh!t. I would ask for a Featherweight Super 6, but that @sshole arum would leave out Lopez and Gamboa. Fukcin dickhead is hurting boxing.

Vic Darchinyan will beat Anselmo Moreno as soon as Pacroid grows some balls and takes the tests.

 That would be lovely, and just what I was asking for. They were forgetting Moreno, acting as if he's some paper titlist.
Good looking out, I took off the audio and started watching the Vazquez-Kim fight. Mig is working him over like I thought he would.

LOL....just a preview before I go in with my new username/account
:wank: Great stuff.
As I said, my stream wasn't goo enough to score, but it seemed like Moreno was slipping a lot of Cermeno's punches or rolling them and Moreno was more selective but landing cleaner.
I had a feeling Moreno would win at the end, Moreno went right to the ring post and celebrated, there was really no reaction from Cermeno.
That is what I saw. I had it 8-4 for Moreno.

:lol1:
I don't know how to feel about this post I agree and yet at the same time I don't.
:nonono:
someone asked him about Vic Darchinyan and Moreno said he needed more fights (before facing someone of Vic's caliber)
Vic Darchinyan will beat Anselmo Moreno as soon as Pacroid grows some balls and takes the tests.
Yea the manager said that the WBA better not come up with anything about another fight with Cermeno. That they clearly won this fight like they clearly won the last fight. But, that this one was more dominant. And, that one judge in this fight had an absurd scorecard of 115-113 for Cermeno.
And, that Moreno next fight will be in the U.S. He is entering Showtime S6 tournament. That will include Agbeko, Arce, Perez, Darchinyan, and Mares.
